Honkai Star Rail Reaches 10m+ Pre-Registrations

Honkai Star Rail, the upcoming gacha game from HoYoverse, has achieved another pre-registration milestone with over ten million players signing up to play the game when it launches later this month. As a reward for signing up, players will receive freebies at launch, with the final milestone for rewards being achieved at the five million mark.

Although it's not clear if HoYoverse will provide additional rewards to celebrate this doubling of the final milestone, the company is hosting an exciting competition where players can retweet the original tweet to be in with a chance of winning a $100 gift card. The winners will be announced within ten working days after the entry period ends on April 25.

The CN server for Honkai Star Rail has already surpassed the 21+ million mark, having hit the ten million pre-registration milestone two months ago. This is a little surprising given that Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact 3rd are two of the most popular gacha games worldwide, and fans are theorizing that the turn-based combat system in Honkai Star Rail may be putting some players off.

Regardless, many are excited to see how HoYoverse implements the iconic turn-based system in Honkai Star Rail, and with the game's pre-registration numbers continuing to rise, it looks like it will be a popular addition to the gacha game genre.
