Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance, the classic dungeon crawler based on Dungeons and Dragons, has been ported to mobile devices. Since its release in 2001, the game has been adapted to various consoles and PC. Now, Android and iOS users can enjoy the game as a premium release.
The game features real-time action based on D&D's third edition rules and offers three customizable characters to choose from, over 40 types of monsters, over 25 skills, and 11 spells. It also supports local co-op play, but players will need two controllers to play with a friend.
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance is a direct port of the original game but optimized for mobile devices. The game includes full touch-screen support, but it's recommended to use an Android-compatible controller for a better experience. Although it's unclear which version of the game was used for the Android port, the graphics indicate that it's probably the 4K remastered version from 2021.
The game is available to download from the Play Store for $9.99, which is a third of the price of the PC and console versions. Although the game has some bugs, it's still a great option for those who want to relive this classic ARPG on their mobile devices.
The original Baldur's Gate games are also available on Android, alongside the spin-off Siege of Dragonspear, one of the best RPGs for mobile. Fans are hoping that Dark Alliance II will also make its way to mobile to complete the franchise.
