Lord of The Rings Heroes of Middle Earth had so much potential to be a decent turn-based strategy game but it's not. The game lacks content so bad that it feels completely unfinished. The gameplay is the same as all other turn-based hero collecting games out there. Heroes has set skills and you choose which one to use. The game modes are far to few with there being only 3 campaigns that are just copies of each other. 1 campaign for good heroes and 1 campaign for to use the evil heroes in. The guild system feels pointless as well because all the guild is used for is the guild campaign. Which just has you borrow 1 hero from a guild member to use in the guild campaign.
The graphics look comparable to graphics on N64 console games back in the 90's. The character models look pixelated and cartoony. This makes the evil characters look dopey and lose their fierce demeanor. The backgrounds also look awful and pixelated as well. There is no options in the settings to adjust the graphics or FPS. The game just runs and looks terrible. It really feels like a bare bones approach to grab LOTR fans attention and take their money. This is the definition of a cash grab. Big franchise skin with terrible gameplay and graphics. The cash shop is super over priced and throws a 100 USD pack at you right a way as a "exclusive" pop up pack. No cheap 99 cent pop up packs, no 1st purchase/top up bonus character or anything.
Overall, the game is a huge let down and could of been special. Better graphics with a more realistic approach would have been great. Along with tons of content and a better gear system similar to the other big named games like Raid Shadow Legends, Dislyte, or Eternal Evolution. This is just a big letdown for Lord of The Rings Fans looking for a fun Turn-based RPG experience with their favorite franchise.
