Check out an Open beta mobile version of a game that has been around in the PC world for a while and is still growing strong today!
I know there are alot of fans for this game; some might say this game is very grindy and probably abit right.
Today we are looking at a game called War Thunder Open Mobile Beta.
From my personal experience of playing this, since I haven't played this myself but have friends that have played, it seems a frustrating experience, but, at the same time, it can be worth it if you are into grind-heavy games.
Story Summary
Explore military history by experiencing dozens of authentic vehicles from the USSR, Germany, and the United States (more nations will come next). Progress through the game, access better equipment, change ammunition types, and customize gear to increase your chances of dominating the battlefield.
Gameplay Experience:
First Experience:
Playing several matches and runs with War Thunder gave me the choices when I started to either play with Ships or Tanks:
You can Switch any time you feel one isn't that comfortable to play
Tanks Gameplay:
The controls with the mobile are helpful when starting, so you can have better accuracy when aiming with the tank.
You get to acquire your first tank free and a couple of others down the road, but it takes time to gain a couple of new tanks. If you want the premium tanks, it takes time to earn enough in-game currency to get strong.
Controls for Tanks:
It's either low-responsive or just right; it switches on and off in my experience dealing with other enemy tanks, which could have been done abit better or given an option of getting a blue tooth controller to help with the sensitivity.
Now there is abit of a difference between the Tank vs. Ship Controls.
Ship Gameplay:
Controls were very smooth, besides the game slowly lagging or the ship didn't change directions fast enough to move. So far, the Beta for the vessel is excellent, pointing out the weaknesses of enemy ships and easy ways to heal your ship!
Other than that, the game runs very smoothly throughout when it comes to the ships of the game.
Pros and Cons of War Thunder Mobile
Pros:
Realistic Tank/Ship Models
Controls decent for the Ships Mode
Sometimes fun
Honestly probably for those
Cons:
Alot of Paywalls
Bad Hit Boxes
Maps not well designed
Repair Costs
No Reset Controls
To much grinding
Verdict
After playing the Beta for War Thunder, it is easier to run Tanks and Ships. The game will be even more frustrating along the way with all the paywalls to get even remotely better ships/tanks.
War Thunder gets a rating of
Do not Recommend
Unless you love Grindy games and paywalls
now to my turn to clear things out because I'm sure people don't even spend 3 days of gameplay before judging. ok first "pay walls": is the game pay to win? short answer No the game is absolutely free and it's a skill based game. the game gives you a mountain of resources (plus the shop gives tons of free resources everyday with free gold). unlike WoTB pay to win tanks. this game has premium "camo-ed" tanks that the regular version can be obtained with in-game currency (it's just cosmetics). so no the game is totally free to play and skill based (this isn't your typical run and gun, you have to be patient). hitboxes: first let me clear out THERE ARE NO HEALTH POINTS in this game basically you can be killed with one clean shot. i know about tanks IRL and those shells can penetrate chunks of metals effortlessly. the game LITERALLY has X-ray kill can showing you how the shell and the explosion killed you and it's accurate for a simulation game (but not realistically accurate). repair costs: umm no repairs are totally free and you are given a ton of resources to fix yourself in battle at anytime you like! bad map design: Y E S. maps are small and you can get spawn killed easily soooo I hope they fix this soon. controls and grinding: you can speed up level processes with in-game free currency. controls are fine you can't change much atm and this is a beta. and the touchscreen controls cannot be customized I think. that's all the moral of the story play the game even after the reviews maybe you'll like it

played this for a week now and can confirm, p2w/paywall is basically non-existent here. you can wreck any tanks with the right ammo type and angle (Tiger ftw baby!!!).

This is some skill issue thread I've ever seen, Hitbox? There is no such thing in this game. That's why you learn ammo type, known enemy tank weakness, angling, and positioning. Those can make combat engagement more realistic and every step is crucial to kill an enemy tank. 1. Can't kill an enemy tank? Just disable their canon barrel so their canon can't shoot a shell. 2. Front armor so thick? Hit the sides where ammo stowage is placed. A couple of information on the tank before buying it can make a single difference for another tank on the same tier.

honestly, beside the "effort" you made to write this post ! * One Does Not Simply Review a Game Without Playing it *
