Hyena, prowling in the shadows, was a mercenary regiment led by only five men. Wandering in Klamig Forest, the regiment was either drawn or scorned by the forces of both the north and south, later recruited deliberately by the alliance.
The Hyena Mercenaries, originally known as the Hentan Mercenaries, whose members mostly were outlaws who knifed their way through the Klamig Forest. They thought that the word “hyena”, the predator who could both fight alone and hunt in packs, fit their definition of themselves better than any other. It just so happened that Wade Sathiene's family crest was the wild hyena, so these mercenaries adopted their leader's family symbol as the team's badge.
So the hyena badge is with double meaning, on which the hyena is the main part, backed by a base of green, red and grey, arranged in a sequence to represent the fact that wherever the Hyenas go, everything will be reduced to lifeless ashes by sword and fire.
At first, the regiment was led by Wade, who was hired by the Kingdom of Baraigne to help it take over Skaiele during the war against the Kingdom of Islette. When the war was over, Wade, back in the forest, led the mercenaries to plunder the trade caravans so that the group could adapt to making their own living after leaving the army.
Kramig Forest had important transporting routes of both land and rivers among the kingdoms, used by both wealthy noblemen and commoner to transport goods and merchandise. The plundering of these caravans by the mercenaries caused them a huge loss of profit, which made the merchants and nobles eager to get rid of them. Thus, this bandit-born mercenary regiment gained a bad reputation and became a major problem for Baraigne.
