Since the first exposure of Blade of God 2, many players interested about Hela. In fact, we have used 2 months to design this lady. So let’s spend some time to tell her story:
In the original concept, we hoped that a solid underlying behavioral logic would be produced for Hela, who has repeatedly cheated Chaos in BOG1. What’s more, in appearance, the little devil-typed murmur would not be conducive to creating a fighting girl for the ACT. We hoped to add more mystery to Hela and make her feel like holding a lot of secrets. Finally, we covered the role of Hela with a mask that hid the windows of the soul.

Identity:[/b]
“Hela - The legendary queen and goddess of death of the Helheim, who mastered aging and disease. The true face of the goddess is said to be so extraordinary that very few people have ever been lucky enough to see her face, and those who survived afterwards were even fewer. So we can only guess at what she looks like from what we hear.She hid half of her face in a cold obsidian mask called "Hilideskelaf," the reasons for which are unknown.The lu 'en characters appeared on her back also revealed the inextricably links between her origin and the Asa clan to a certain extent."
Secondly, we wanted to endow Hela with the peculiarity between sexy and cold that keep others far away, so we decided to give our little sister the ability to transform which gradually make her hot during the fight, and associated more closely with the relatively extroverted image in the first generation. Therefore, we set the conservation of mass that "the bigger the weapon, the fewer the clothes" as the status. This resulted in 4 different stages for this single role, which meant that the project team would have to undertake four times as much work in all future work of 3D modeling relevant to Hela (such as making new looks) as there were 4 different stages for the single role. But I like it.
Weapon:
“During the days that Hela transformed to guardian defender, we don't know how she fought against the enemy. Considering that this goddess often appears in human form, when she first appears in the world of Blade of God 2 with the form of a normal human female, what she carried with was only an excalibur mad of obsidian, which was called ‘Himinbjorg’".
When observed carefully, you would see the sphere shining slightly white at the hilt that is the core of the weapon. The white sphere was the soul of a great sealed monster. In case that the sword hits the opponent, the soul's energy would flow out of the white ball and in turn lights up the Rune letters named "Gods", "Fire", "Torch", "Sun" and "Death". As the sword absorbs enough energy, it will awaken and become longer, which helped Hela do more damage to the enemy."
Of course, by design, Hela can't just reduce clothes during the 4 periods of transformation. There is an additional price to pay for the transformation of power. As can be seen below, with the thinning of Hela's silk stockings, her legs have also cracked over time, revealing a shocking black material. This is because that the first generation of Hela abandoned the original body and obtained the present body through a certain way in order to complete the transformation of the image and the enhancement of power. The body is able to withstand the energies of the spiritualized son to a certain extent, while producing cracks. Whether Hela's soul will eventually be affected by this particular body remains to be seen.

Psychic [/b]Armor and Psychic Burst:
The core concepts of Blade of God 2 are sacrifice and redemption. In order to acquire the psychic power, one must give something of equal value.·
The phenomenon which was reflected the most obviously on Hele was that the use of the weapon and its awakening consume the same amount of material. In addition to her physical body, Hela's material body is her Psychic Armor. So when she took out the Himinbjorg, her skirt and socks correspondingly became shorter to replenish the substance;And when the weapon awakens, even the veil and stockings will be temporarily consumed for the forming of a blade-charged broadsword.
When Hela's mind is extremely focused, The Himinbjor temporarily absorbs all of the Psychic Armo and evolves into a hyper-arousal state. During the temporarily short period, Hela would gain power over the gods, with her weapons becoming enormous...
My favorite part: stocking, is made of a very special material. And it almost killed the designer to get as close as possible to the original painting (See the illustration in the section of "Weapons").
As shown above, in the early version, we designed several styles for the leg dressing, but none of them could achieve the semi-permeable texture with dark lines in the original painting. It looked greasy, like vaseline coated in plastic. Therefore, the special fiber material became a research focus of 3D designers.
We found the phenomenon that stockings towards the centre of the leg are lighter. And if the silk sockets are thin enough, the color of skin underneath would be revealed. While the closer to the sides of the silk sockets, the darker the color. As silk stockings are made up of numerous tiny interlaced fibers, the fibers facing the sight are the sparsest, while the fibers closer to the outline of the leg appear denser to the observer. This is known as the Denier coefficient, which is actually a parameter that reflected density.
Affected by good flexibility of silk stockings, a piece of graph that reflected stretching-degree distributed in different areas is required, and the bigger the stretching degree, the lower the degree of density.
Affected by the observer's line of sight, the smaller the plane between silk stockings and the observer's angle of view, the greater the density of stocking, which was affected by the marginal degree. Supported by the conclusion of this research project, the technique personnel wrote out the Shader for black silk, which solved the problem well and finally achieved the effect on the most right of the above figure, thus restoring the original painting the best.
