I'm Percy from Half Human Games, the small team behind Dwerve, an epic action-adventure with tower defense combat where you play as Dwerve, a dwarven tinkerer who fights with turrets and traps. With Dwerve, we mash up the tower defense and dungeon crawling genres to craft a novel strategic action experience.
Dwerve is inspired by SNES RPGs like A Link to the Past as well as modern games like Orcs Must Die and Dungeon Defenders which mix tower defense and action RPG elements. We wanted to create a whimsical fantasy adventure with an immersive world and compelling storytelling, just like the classic Zelda games — but with tactical turret-based combat!
It takes all the mechanics you know and love: dungeon crawling, questing, exploring, and storytelling; and presents it with a new style of strategic turret-based combat where tactical turret and trap placement decide the outcome of each battle! We still have a lot of work to do on the mobile version, but we have an early demo for you to tinker with!
Dwerve is a tower defense dungeon crawler RPG where you play as a young dwarf tinkerer named Dwerve who adventures into a ruined kingdom and unearths the lost technologies of the ancient warsmiths: turrets and traps. These are the only weapons that can protect the dwarves from Witch-Queen Vandra and her army of bloodthirsty trolls and monstrous creatures hellbent on conquering the surface. Dwerve is seriously addictive! I’ve played this game several month ago at Steam. The combination of tower defense and dungeon crawling mechanics keeps me on the edge of my seat. I can't get enough of strategically placing turrets and traps to fend off hordes of monsters. Can't wait to see the mobile version!
