Cat of Khronos - A Quick Game Review!

Cat of Khronos is a new puzzle strategy mobile game with lots of challenging stages to clear! At first, I was not that impressed by the tutorial of the game which felt quite complicated. I found the game to be quite unique as I had never played a game like this before and it was quite frustrating at first due to the complicated tutorial. But as soon as I figured the game out, the game actually started to get really interesting.

Looking into the gameplay, I felt the game controls to be quite easy and simple to use. However, the tutorial has not properly explained all the usable control buttons on the screen. Even though the controls were simple, it took me some time to figure out how actually they are supposed to work in a proper way. So we are a cute cat in this game who can travel through time. But even if it can travel through time, it can only travel one step at a time, which I found quite ridiculous. LOL. But, the game mechanics actually made sense after I started playing it and even with the simple single steps, you can make it look pretty magical and complicated in human point of view! I really appreciated the replay after the stage completion which demonstrated on how my cats movement were seen in the eyes of the normal world view. And its definitely quite flashy!

So as per controls, you can move to the left, right, up and down the map and you have to use the hour glass icon on the bottom left to warp to the desired location. Your movement will be tracked on the usable time slots in the top of the screen. You will have to get the fish in the map and move back to your beginning point location before you use all the time slots available. And I found this task to be quite tricky and challenging!

The tutorial in this game surely teaches a lot of stuffs to know about the game but it does not seem to be a complete package and the tutorial felt to be quite complicated to understand in simple terms.

We have skill tutorial as well, which was actually very helpful for me to understand the basics of the game. You can always check it out during the gameplay to figure out on what you can possibly do to clear the current stage.

I would have really appreciated if the tutorial had some sample complete guide through various types of stages and how to clear them. Or, having a good hint system could help the beginners out too.

Overall, this game is a great fun experience even if the graphics and sound systems are quite simple. The gameplay is quite challenging and you will need to create a good strategy to figure out the best path to the fish and easy way out to the beginning warp spot! I highly recommend this game to you guys! There are no lags and crashes and the game seems to be quite enjoyable.

This brilliant puzzle game put me in the mind of a cat trying to get fish by manipulating time. That setup might sound cute and charming, and it is! Don’t be fooled into thinking that means Cat of Khronos is a walk in the park though. This game has perplexed me through its many well-made puzzles. And even without much in the way of guidance or help, I enjoyed the game’s tough challenges.
