Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon is a puzzle adventure 2D pixel fast paced mobile game with lots of challenging stages to clear! Honestly, I enjoyed this game from the very start as it is unique, fast paced and challenging! If you love candy crush then its likely that you will love this game as well. This game seems to have a hybrid mixture of RPG adventure games and 3 block match games like candy crush. There were lots of varieties of enemies which we need to tackle in different way to defeat them. Doing combo attacks to defeat lots of enemies in one shot was too much fun for me! No wonder that this free to play game has managed to get the editor's choice tag.

Looking into the gameplay, I found the controls to be quite easy to use and gameplay mechanics felt easy to understand. But the game itself felt quite challenging and fast paced for me. You are a knight in this game and you are stuck in a tile map room stage waiting for the exit door to pop up. Various enemies, blocks and items start falling from top just like tetris. You need to manage the similar type of objects and enemies together to perform combo to defeat or destroy similar enemy/objects together! You need to try to keep the tile map clear of everything. With the accumulated points, you can sometime gain access to the store to get some cool items.

In the item shop, you can get some good boost to your skills or some perks which can help you a lot with your game! Try keeping killing and destroying a lot to accumulate lots of points so that you can shop good stuffs!
You will have HP bar and if it gets depleted to 0 then you will die and you will respawn in an empty tile area in the map. But if there is no empty tile to respwan in the map then you will lose the game. Thus you need to manage your enemies and objects wisely to tackle them in a strategic way to get rid of them efficiently!

The tutorial of the game is quite helpful imo. The tutorial is enough to make the beginner understand on what the game is about and how to play the game. Coming up with effective strategies to clear the map efficiently is quite challenging and fun!

Overall, this game is a massive fun and I highly recommend you guys to play this game! This free to play game has lots of varieties of enemies to tackle with while accumulating points and items. So far, I have not encountered any lags or crashes in the game. Even though its a simple 2D pixel adventure game, its quite challenging, colorful and fun to play! Try it out!
