Harry Potter: Magic Awakened is a brand new RPG and Card Collection Game in the Wizarding World. When I originally heard about this game, I thought it was going to be like every other CCG game, but I was so shocked to find out there's so much more to this game than I thought.
First thing, let's take a look at this card collection game combat, you can join the wizard duel club and fight other students using a real time card combat system. You must summon your cards to attack opponent while making sure you have the right amount of mana to cast the cards.
You can also move around the combat floor which will cost movement cards. So you can better position yourself, or dodge out of projectiles while dropping more spells on your opponent. I found this to be very entertaining and engaging and I really loved the card combat system. While I may not be a fan of building card decks, and that's what usually turns me off from CCG games, I enjoy my time in combat with this game due to just how much fun the combat itself is.
I found myself really trying to understand the spells and add the new ones into my deck. This combat system is also used when fighting monsters while doing the main quest line as well. Apparently if you reach the highest rank in the magic duel club, you can also challenge players globally to wizard duels. Which I think is really cool. The gameplay itself is what surprised me the most, I thought it would just be the typical type of mobile rpg ccg game where you just start a match, fight opponents and build your deck.
But this is so much more than that. The game really dives into the RPG aspect and you can travel around different areas on foot, you start the game by visiting Diagon Alley and getting your wand, picking your characters appearance, and meeting your first friend. You can travel to the different classes and attend them for new cards, and even relive old battles from the Harry Potter movies. This game is set sometime after the last Harry Potter movie, and they reference the events quite often. It was really cool to feel like a student at Hogwarts, after those events.
You even get the sorting hat ceremony, and can choose your house. Naturally I picked Slytherin. There is so much depth to this game in regards to the RPG aspect, I am truly blown away. I went into this game blindly, not knowing much about what to expect, and I really was very impressed with what the gameplay had to offer. Visually the art style is gorgeous. I think the artistic direction that they went with is very cool.
Like art from a story book, that has come to life. I loved the facial animations when they talk too. It felt very animated and fluid. The visual experience in this game is truly impressive. I loved every minute of it. Overall, I'd say that Harry Potter: Magic Awakened was a truly magical experience on mobile. For the most part the game was very smooth, but it did have some hiccups with some animations and stuttering here and there. There was even a part where my character wasn't even moving. Just slid down the stairs with no animation whatsoever.
It was pretty funny. There is definitely some minor kinks that need to be ironed out, but overall the game experience is very good. The combat is so much fun, and the story elements are fantastic too. You can even fly outside the school grounds. I was so shocked when I got to that part in the story. And was able to freely fly around the grounds. They even had a rhythm game section when you had the dance! I wasn't expecting that at all! Truly an amazing experience. I highly recommend you playing this if you're a lover of the Wizarding World. This is a great addition to your Harry Potter collection.

it's annoying how the US is always one of the last places to get global games

You know the reason because mobile gaming or mobile games are not that huge in US. You are from the pc elite region.
