Refactor is an upcoming Tower Defense Rougelike, yes you heard me right, TD Rougelike. So how good is it?
Gameplay
Admittedly I did not make it past the tutorial, I am becoming more and more like an IGN reviewer; However, from the gameplay I saw the gameplay is simple. You build defenses and infrastructure to defend against waves, with a fun mechanic wear you can manipulate how waves spawn with how you place turrets.
The gameplay from the tutorial wasn't for me though, but I can understand the appeal if you like TD and Management games.
Would give the gameplay a 6/10, just not for me.
Graphics
I'll admit it, most of my hours in gaming are from Triple A games, recently I've mostly played Division 2 and Ghost Recon Wildlands... But I'll also admit I prefer the simplicity of the stylistic graphics you'll generally see in indie games. That being said, I would say the graphics are good, even pretty detailed for the style if you zoom in, though there isn't much going for it from there. It is pretty basic in terms of everything else, though this is normal for more pixel styled games.
I would give the graphics a 8/10.

Maze Defenders - Tower Defense

This review is based on my around 30 mins of gameplay
- potato phone friendly, my phone can play this game smoothly on default settings
- optional ads
- can be played offline, but there's features aren't available offline
- gameplay is similar to refractor but more simple
- on some stage you can re-route the enemy tracks within the fixed stage field, and on some stage you cant.

Refactor is a rogue-lite tower defense game where you have to make many strategic choices as you face enemies' waves, with the level-up will force you to make strategic decisions with real-time tactics. The game is designed to give players hours and hours of best strategy gaming while it is no limit for you to refresh.

Thank you for your review~ Please allow me to briefly introduce the core gameplay of our game. This is a pixel tower defense game. It has similarities with traditional tower defense games, but it also has completely different gameplay elements that make it enjoyable. Similarities: The enemies move from the starting point to the endpoint. When the enemies reach the endpoint, they deduct lives, and when all enemies are eliminated, you win. Differences: The initial distance from the starting point to the endpoint for the enemies is only 1 tile, which obviously can lead to failure easily. But the biggest difference in our game is that you can place the elemental defense towers (modules similar to Tetris blocks, with built-in towers) in the game to extend this distance. As long as the path from the starting point to the endpoint is unobstructed and not blocked, the enemy's route is entirely up to your design. In other words, the distance between the starting point and the endpoint can be 1 tile, or it can be 20 tiles, and it can be a straight line or a winding route. Moreover, our game's defense towers can be upgraded. However, instead of simply leveling up, you can combine three initial elemental towers to create an advanced reconstructor defense tower. The tower's attack skills and characteristics will be completely changed, but at the same time, they will inherit some attributes from the initial elements. This kind of advanced defense tower can also be combined with each other to create a reconstructor defense tower with multiple characteristics. So it seems that there are only five kinds of initial elemental defense towers, but with different levels and combinations, the resulting reconstructor defense towers will be entirely different. The complete game version has various reconstructor defense towers and different gameplay modes.
