PRIME OF FLAMES is a turn-based adventure RPG that will present you with a lot of options on how to deal with the evil beings of its world.
Even though it's still not in its PRIME state, the game really has a lot of potential.

In this game, you are named Star, a being that can travel to different worlds for the main purpose of scouting adventurers and leading them to the SPORTS CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS!
Sorry, I meant to the BOSS FIGHT FINALE!
[THE CORE GAMEPLAY]
Even though you are a being from another dimension, don't expect that you are OP!
In fact you are so weak that you almost got kidnapped by demon goblins in the intro...
But you don't need to worry much about that because you are some sort of BIG SHOT celestial being in this game, you do not need to fight your own battles.
You just trick gullible adventurers to do everything for you for free...
YOUR ACTUAL JOB IS TO DO THE FOLLOWING:
1.) SCOUT FOR TALENT
2.) COACH & DIRECT YOUR TEAM
3.) MAKE DECISIONS FOR YOUR TEAM
4.) MANAGE MEMBERS, EQUIPMENT, AND GROWTH
5.) PUSH THE TEAM TOWARDS "A BIG W AND AVOID TAKING AN L"
YOU WILL NEED DO ALL THESE THINGS JUST LIKE AN ACTUAL SPORTS TEAM COACH, SO DON'T DROP THE BALL AND GET READY TO TRAIN THESE MEMBERS!

- TACTICAL TEAM BATTLES THAT WOULD HAVE YOU SCRATCHING YOUR HEAD.
- LOTS OF PLAYABLE WAIFUS WITH DIFFERENT SKILLS AND ROLES.
- FULL TEAM MANAGEMENT.
- CHALLENGING FIGHTS.
CONS
- EVERYTHING RESETS AFTER DEFEATING A CAMPAIGN BOSS.
AFTER ALL THE HARDSHIPS YOU EXPERIENCED TOGETHER WITH YOUR TEAM, THE MEMBERS LEAVE WITHOUT EVEN SAYING GOODBYE AND SUDDENLY GETS AMNESIA. OTHER ROGUELIKES LET YOU DEVELOP A CHARACTER ENDLESSLY UNTIL THEY PERISH BUT THIS GAME APPARENTLY DOES NOT. ;(
- THE EXPLORATION ASPECT OF THE GAME IS KINDA BORING AND LACKING.
THE WAY IT'S PRESENTED RIGHT NOW IS LIKE THERE'S REALLY NOTHING TO DISCOVER.
IT'S JUST NOT MYSTERIOUS OR THRILLING AT ALL BECAUSE YOU JUST TAP EACH WAYPOINT AND SELECT FROM A LIST OF MULTIPLE CHOICES TO HEAL, HIRE OR GET EQUIPMENT/UPGRADE/BUFF.
MAYBE THE DEVS CAN ADD A MINIGAME WITHIN THE WAYPOINTS LIKE IN THE GAME ARMELLO (LIKE MAYBE PICK-A-CARD OR DICE ROLLS TO DETERMINE IF GOING ON CERTAIN WAYPOINTS IMPACTS THE PARTY POSITIVELY OR NEGATIVELY).
- FINISHING A CAMPAIGN IS NOT THAT REWARDING AND IT KINDA FEELS SAD AND EMPTY.
THE MAIN CHARACTER SHOULD GET SOME KIND OF PROGRESSION AFTER KILLING THE BOSS.
MAYBE IN THE FORM OF RANDOM ARTIFACTS THAT HAVE PASSIVE SKILLS THAT BUFF PARTY MEMBERS OR AN ACTIVE SKILL THAT CAN BE USED ON ENEMIES SO THAT IT CAN BE BROUGHT AND INTERCHANGED INSIDE DIFFERENT CAMPAIGNS.
- APART FROM GAINING ACHIEVEMENTS AND EXPERIMENTING WITH CHARACTER LINE UPS, I FEEL LIKE THERE'S NO REPLAY VALUE TO THE CAMPAIGNS.
[ SUGGESTION & CONCLUSION ]
In my opinion, Prime of Flames is a good game with lots of playable characters and a great party management system but it really needs to focus more on how it utilizes its map/waypoints/choices/world and how players are going to be able to interact with all of it.
