Looper Tactics is a hybrid of board-based traversal and card battlers. Most notably, it's the same type of experience as Hearthstone, except the limited and somewhat repetitive exploration and story-based dialog that feels awkward.
I enjoy card games because they are often strategic and difficult, but this one felt a little too difficult and overwhelming with some of the boss fights in which they were all capable of wiping your board with their special passives that damage or kill your units when played or when they make a move.
Despite this, I was irritated by all of the dialogue and timers counting down each step you took while also having the ability to save a game file, which is strange because it then puts you in a position where you want to save but it's probably really far away, wasting your time and moving on to the next day, but at least you now have a new save file to return back to when you un-doubtedly get merked.

Looks interesting
I have no complaints regarding the aesthetics; nevertheless, the audio loops the same theme repeatedly. Moving around the board while also building your deck and touring different locations made me tired, because while the exploration aspect isn't all that entertaining, the real core gameplay, which is essentially just Hearthstone, made me want to log out and play Hearthstone, which isn't something you want a player to think about while playing your game.
Demo Gameplay
I don't detest the game, but I'd want to see more emphasis on action, perhaps more minor bouts rather than tougher fights, and more events rather than just card and treasure obtainers. I'm not sure; I just didn't like the exploration.
It detracted from the primary gameplay in my opinion, and the plot was just a time sink that I didn't want to invest my time in.
Conclusion

It's alright
It's an interesting concept to have a card game and board exploration with deck building and other such events and treasures, but the game really pushes my desire to play a completely different game with this added feature other than the one right in front of me due to how similar it plays to other games. You explore, build and then fight when you're ready all while being pressed for time with the timer clicking away at each and every step you make while exploring.
This concludes my views of this game; while my opinions may be met with criticism, that is what distinguishes gamers; you don't have to like the same things as others, nor do you have to agree with them.
If you want to catch me on one of my streams or locate me on social media, you may do so at the following locations, I'm always playing something new.

PLAY IT OR SKIP IT? Skip the demo for now and wait to see if the full version of the game shakes things up any more. Looper Tactics is a cartoony roguelike deck builder that merges familiar card-battling mechanics with dungeon crawler elements. Even though I found exploring dungeons really enjoyable, Looper Tactics’ card-based gameplay falls short and offers nothing that titles like Hearthstone, Legends of Runeterra
