I have played this game for a long time but I suddenly stopped. I have a lot of reasons not gonna lie.
1. Gacha have very low rate up nowadays.
Unless you're a pay to win it's easy to get a cookie, but for players like me, a free to play player; It makes it more difficult to get newer cookies even though I have a lot of ways of doing so.
2. So many consecutive lengendaries & super epic banners among updates.
Like in the first reason free to play players barely can also keep up with these kind of updates. Seriously after stardust cookie dropped after moonlight, another super epic cookie was added and now a dragon and a special??!! Seriously some players are starting to struggle roo much with these banners. Unlike before, the super epic+ banners usually come like after a long time after the previous one. This is far too difficult to keep up with the Arena and the guild.
3. No special modes like the breakout on ovenbreak.
This is whenever you've finish the game. The story, the tropical soda Islands, and the special episodes. Seriously You won't be able to find a way to get gems, except the cookie alliance; but the gems comes after every season. The daily gems sometimes often comes after seven days or smth in the schedule. And the codes barely often drops.
4. Start to be boring and repetitive after game is completed.
Once you finish the game, when you log in, it doesn't feel the same anymore. You'll start feeling like it's a chore and suddenly quit the game. There's nothing interesting about the game besides the new cookies and rarely added modes. It's just not fun anymore.
The game itself has a lot of potential but as you grow in game, it's gonna start feeling like a bore. These are just personal opinions. Don't take them seriously.

It'a quite time consuming for an idle game. 30 minutes if I speedrun the dailies? I would use 10 on any other idle game. Why do I have to play simulation and interception once a day instead of interacting with my waifus on the outpost? I was so preoccupied with my dailies that I only discovered this the other day. Eww.
The gacha during my initial days of playing was absolutely atrocious. It was so bad that I was actually about to quit until I miraculously got several SSRs to fuel my desire to continue. Thanks, I guess. Coincidentally, I got them after Christmas update. Before that, there's already some clamor about gacha rates being lower than what's stated. With circumstantial proof. Who knows what's really happening? I don't.

I've been playing this game since release and I can only give this game 2 stars max. The reason for it is for many. One if you enjoy the story like I do it will take forever for you to know what happens next because of the level spike. Now that wouldn't be so bad if you get enough materials to keep leveling up, but you don't. Two I hate the gacha rate so much. It feels so low and when you finally accumulate enough crystals to do any sort of summon on banner majority of the time you'll be disappointed.

Coming from someone who played a ton and even made it on leaderboards, the game started feeling repetitive. The decision to stop was influenced by some less-than-great updates. It's enjoyable but leans towards being pay-to-win.
