Shogun Showdown will not bore you with its visuals or narrative. You begin the game by going through some very strategic turn-based gameplay in which you must survive waves of enemies while using a range of different skills and weapons all with different upgrades. It's actually rather shocking given how simple the game appears on the surface but how much intricacy already exists in the strategy area. Once you beat the first run, the next runs increase in difficulty by choosing a different day. The music is great and the simplicity is charming.

Fast-paced, fantastic visuals and music, a genuinely engaging plot, and the ability to do things your way when you want, weaving in and out of superpowers. Loading takes 2 seconds, that's right, 2 seconds. There is no downtime, only pure gaming action. It only takes you a few missions to understand this is going to be one hell of a game to play.

Smooth visuals, pleasant and witty dialogue, and a brilliant plot chronicling Death whose employees have gone on strike, drastically upsetting the balance of souls - and his vacation plans. To restore order, you'll need to fetch your trusty scythe and show your employees who's in charge. Think of it as a mixture of Dead Cells and Hollowknight. Fantastic.

Bat Boy is actually rather entertaining with a huge throwback to retro classics like Super Mario World level selection, the Sonic opening transition, and Shovel knight are all highlights that took me by surprise. It has a lot of charm, but due of the bizarre plot, it may be difficult to get into even though it is only a 10-hour game. The game play shines the brightest with ingenious level design and midi tunes.

Homebody carries out a genuinely intriguing puzzle design with a fairly intriguing plot and characters. The game is played in a escape room death loop, where you must escape a house while attempting to solve the puzzles while avoiding getting killed in the process. There are multiple endings that lead you back to the same conclusion from which you can't escape keeping you on your toes in this point-and-click horror.
