MLB 9 Innings Rivals is a sports simulation realistic mobile game with the roster of all 30 Major League Baseball Teams. Honestly, I found the gameplay not to be that exciting with lots of contents being simulated. There are only few instances, when you are allowed to strike a ball or throw a ball. The gameplay mechanics heavily relies on the stats and overall ratings of your characters. Just like most of the com2us games, this game also has gacha summon system and I don't think that the gacha rates are that good in this game. Playing this sports game in portrait mode in mobile does not feel to be that really enjoyable. On the other hand, the character artwork, 3D graphics and acoustics together with live commentary seems to be quite nice.

The first gameplay looked a bit good and promising with great 3D character artwork. And the game gave a good tutorial on the batting/striking and throwing the ball. Honestly, I was quite excited at first with the gameplay mechanics. But soon, the all the excitement came to an abrupt end with main gameplay heavily relying on the simulation rather than playing manually as shown in the tutorial. There are very few chances in a game match where you will be able to actually be able to enjoy batting the ball or throwing the ball. I was quite disappointed indeed.

None the less, throwing and striking the ball are quite enjoyable content in this game with good graphics and nice field team movement. It does feel great time to time to smash the ball out of the stadium. If only this game has prioritized and focused its content more on the striking and throwing the ball rather than just showing random match simulation stats.

This simulation is quite fast and you will be able to see your scores on the top of the screen. With major of its contents being dependent on the simulation, your team overall performance will be of great value and importance. Higher your team overall rating, higher you will have chances to win. And in this game you will need to summon your characters from gacha summon.

The gacha summon looks pretty flashy and nice but the gacha rates are not to my liking. I think the gacha rate is quite bad in this game. Plus, it seems to be a bit hard to build your characters in this game. Playing this game made me feel that this game could quickly become quite pay to win with bottleneck contents and competitive ranked matches that will definitely favor whales and sharks.

Overall, this game is quite a fun experience especially if you are a baseball fan. This game had no lags or crashes and is quite smooth during gameplay. But as the majority of the gameplay is simulation based, you will have very few action moments. None the less, I recommend that you guys try this game out. Let me know what you think of this game.
