This is a different type of tower defense game I have experienced in a while because this one does another mechanic that I haven't seen used in tower defense games before!
Today we are looking at " Defense Derby."

My Experience
As the summary describes, "Defense Derby" takes a way different spin to tower defense than others. To explain, most of the game focuses on pvp matches; in each pvp match, you get to 2 characters in the beginning. Still, after a while, you get to use in-game currency to bet against other players to get certain characters you need to defend your castle and survive the longest.
So no, you are not using actual money. You gain in-game currency to help achieve certain types of characters you need to help you survive longer.
Defense Derby was a fun and exciting way to do tower defense instead of the normal.

Unique Mechanics of Using Bidding for Characters
Re-Arrange characters after being played with little Cool Down
Great Character Designs
Asynchronous gameplay!
Cons:
Players buying from the store (In-App) purchases can change the entire balance in PVP.
Verdict:
Defense Derby does something unique with its betting system in PvP matches that only a few, or if any, other tower defense games have ever attempted!
