Kemono Friends Kingdom is out now but only for select regions, and sadly my region was not part of the available countries, so if you are like me and are out of luck, you will have to use a VPN to play this game. Kemono Friends Kingdom is an interesting game. At first glace I thought this was going to be another turn based gacha game, but actually it's something completely different.

The gameplay is more akin to games like Angry Birds. You can select a team of 7 and you have to catapult them towards the enemy. You can also bounce them off flowers to try get the best route to get the gold coins before reaching the enemy, Each character has their own class, like a tank, damage dealer and support unit, and some of them can also be used in combo with one another. There is even an ultimate skill that can be cast before you launch your characters at the enemy, however only the high star characters have a cool animated cinematic that goes with it. The others don't sadly.

The game will give you a combo prompt if you have 2 team members who have a combo with one another. The game is also full of cut scenes and in game dialogue. There's plenty of in game story to follow if you enjoy that. There's plenty of Kemono Friends to get on the gacha too, and I was pretty lucky to get 4 5 star kemono friends over my time of playing the game. Visually the game is gorgeous. I absolutely love the character art of the game, everyone looks really cute and the art work is clean too.

It doesn't look like a rough sketch either which is great. During the cut scenes the visual novel style conversations are using live 2D models as well which is very nice. I always love anime games that use good live 2D models. Especially when they have decent animation rigging too. The audio is fantastic as well. The music reminds me of being at a safari theme park, and the voice acting is fantastic too.

Most of the in game dialogue is voice acted and is of a high quality too. All combat has sound effects as well, so the sound is definitely on point in this game. I am not surprised since it's a popular anime series. Overall I'd say that Kemono Friends is a really cute angry birds like game that makes the angry brids style combat a lot more interesting.

With it's combos and ultimate skills, I feel like I could enjoy this a lot more than when I tried angry birds games. Throw in the cute kemono friends waifu characters and you got a recipe for an amazing game for any anime waifu fan to want to play. I honestly had a lot of fun in this game, and I think you will too.
