Roto Force - A Quick Game Review

Roto Force is a new action arcade 8-bit style mobile game that that combines fast-paced action with challenging gameplay. Honestly, I was not that impressed with the game due to its 8 bit looks and very simplistic visuals. But damn, its unique gameplay mechanics took me with surprise! Personally, I have never played a game like this before. The non-stop challenge with lots of tactical movements and aiming makes this game a very fun experience. This game is about to go official on July 18, 2023 and it definitely packs a lot of fun!

Looking into the gameplay, this twin-stick shooter will test your skill and reflexes in 9 different places with unique design filled with enemies and obstacles! The D-Pad movement button on the left side of the screen gives you the freedom to move around the circle or square box stage that you are inside. You can even jump around by pointing your movement upwards which I found to be pretty fun while making tactical moves around the stage. But with movement and jump action provided in same control function, I would sometimes make accidental jumps or movement that got me in trouble. With the right-stick shooter, you can shoot enemies around the stage but I found the aiming to be a bit off the mark and hard to point out to an exact spot.

What I really appreciated in this game was the detailed tutorial this game provided that taught me all the things that I needed to know about this game. Honestly, I did not expect a good tutorial on a very simple game like this. Thanks to the tutorial, I was able to enjoy this game to the maximum.

This game has a lot of mini boss and boss battles that gives a lot of challenge to the player. I was literally having goosebumps while making lots of tactical moves while constantly pointing my non-stop fire at the enemy. The boss battles are definitely challenging but they definitely did not feel that rewarding. There is no weapon upgrade system in this game but we do can switch between various weapons at certain check points. I was not that happy to lose my previous weapon after getting the new weapon, as I was not able to come up with adaptive tactics to deal with the monsters.

Overall, this game has lots of fun packed in it and I do highly recommend you guys to try this game out! The controls were definitely quite smooth and fluid. The core gameplay revolves around dodging enemy bullets and shooting your enemies in this 2D hell shooter mobile game. I am pretty sure that you are going to find this game very enjoyable and challenging! Cheers!
