EA Sports FC Mobile Beta is a brand new soccer management game, but this management game, is actually fun. In the gameplay you can choose your team logo, uniform and how the uniform looks on the players, but sadly you cannot make your own logo or your own customized team.
The teams are all based on real times, you just pick what team logo you want to represent. When it comes to forming your team, it's not overly complicated. You can go into the nitty gritty if you're a big soccer fan and know about how to min max your players stats, but if you're a beginner like I am to any sports, it's nice that they at least have an option to auto form your team based on the best players in your player pool.
You can earn more players from game packs. These can be earned from leveling up your account for free, and I'm assuming there will also be a gacha system for packs or something similar to it once the game is fully released. There was no store or anything like that during the beta so I can't say for sure and can only speculate on that. Regardless, the game does want you to collect the best players so there will be some form of monetization involving a RNG pack system for sure.
For those who want to drop some money on the game when it comes out to try get the best team you can. The fun part comes when you start playing against other players in matches. The ranked mode was super fun. The matches were intense and I found myself shouting out loud when I would get a goal.
And this is the first time I played a soccer management game where your team goes offside? I've never experienced that before. The amount of times an NPC on my team was offside when I passed the ball to him, aggravated me to no ends! It happened so many times in the heat of a match and I found myself yelling at the tiny referee in the screen.
That just shows you how much fun I was having in this game. I can't believe how awesome this game was. Visually the game is pretty good too. The characters are not bad looking and the player fields are high quality as well. I especially loved how you could watch your goals in replay at the end of the match. It really let me enjoy the visuals of the game a lot more while I was coming off the high of the intensity of the match.
I found I was particularly impressed with the audio of the game. Especially during ranked matches. The crowd would yell and cheer louder as you got closer to the goal, and they'd chant and support you. It was all very immersive and helped build the hype and intensity of a match.
The attention to detail with the audio was super impressive. Though I'm not surprised. This is EA after all, so they should be doing all they can to provide the best player experience. Overall I'd say that EA Sports FC Mobile Beta was a fantastic experience. While there wasn't much you could do other than unranked and ranked play, the match experience was very top tier.
It was enough to make me feel like I want to keep playing this when it officially releases. Keep an eye on the launch of EA Sports FC Mobile because this game is going to be a big hit with soccer fans and just anyone who's curious and tries it out. I highly recommend it.
