Monster Hunter Now brings the thrill of monster battles to your immediate surroundings. Using your smartphone's camera and GPS, the game superimposes virtual monsters onto your real-world environment, effectively transforming your surroundings into a hunting ground. This unique blend of AR and physical space allows you to engage in battles in your own neighborhood, park, or any location within your designated perimeter range.
Much like in the core Monster Hunter games, Monster Hunter Now offers a range of upgradable gear, each weapon with its own unique playstyle. Lighter weapons provide swift and agile attacks, allowing you to quickly strike at a monster's weak points. Heavier weapons require careful timing and deliberate strikes for powerful, devastating blows. Tapping on the screen initiates attacks, and mastering the rhythm of your dodges and weapons becomes key to success.
To fit the AR-infused gameplay, Monster Hunter Now also introduces novel mechanics such as the ability to tag and mark rare monsters for later battles, as well as a loyal Palico companion that assists in resource gathering and monster tagging even while the app is closed, enhancing both active and passive gameplay elements.
Monster Hunter Now is scheduled for a worldwide release on September 14th. Pre-registers are available, and there are milestones to reach depending on how many players will pre-register.

Ehh, the more I see, the more I'm drifting away. Monster Hunter is getting milked. The one game on iOS wasn't too bad back in the day, though.
