How Farming Sim 2023 Mobile Fooled Me Into Thinking It was as Good as PC series
10K View2023-09-07So I played Farming simulator 2022 with my friends and it's just the best relaxing game to be played together. Well, the mobile version of new farming simulator game actually came out and is it any better? Or most likely it's a big downgrade from PC version...

Let's start by talking about the graphics. This game is Really Good to look at, BUT it only does so when you set it at least High. Anything lower looks flat and uninteresting. However High setting actually runs well on my device, which is Poco F3 with Snapdragon 870. Higher setting than that feels unnecessary and cause overheating.
Anyway the visual looks detailed, very detailed in fact for a mobile open world game. You can see far and details are everywhere, but when you zoomed in the details keep adding up, just look at one of these tools below.
Surely those alone already give satisfying feel to our eyes. But now is playing the game really feels that relaxing?
🚜 GAMEPLAY 🌱
Let's talk about gameplay. Because this is where you find every downgrade imaginable. Honestly in one way you can think as this game being more simplified so more people can be attracted on playing the series. Because you don't need to think about how to make your own land, how to even buy and use tools and vehicles to start with, or simply how to use a crane. A lot of those stuff can be automated or semi-automated using AI or pre-determined action. So everything you need 5 buttons to press on PC now only need 1 touch. Simple.
But on the other side I find the game lacking in complexity. Maybe I'm biased because I came from PC version of the series. But truly if everything is AI doable what will you do? Sometimes I have a feeling like I can't do anything. Because the money you have is fixed, you can't start buying a land of your own, build what you need to build or be a farmer you want to from start, everything is already brought leaving small amount of money and you just do mundane stuff every season untill your profit is big enough before you can be other kind of farmer. I find this gameplay restricting and not implying the amusement of freedom the PC series has.

In conclusion, this is maybe a game for you if you haven't played Farming simulator before. But if you're thinking of having THE farming simulator you can play on the go? This is not it. You may better use cloud gaming/moonlight streaming to play the PC version of the game on the go instead.

A streamlined mobile farm sim that can take some getting used to
Overall, I’m impressed with Farming Simulator 23’s mobile edition. There’s plenty to do across two impressively large maps, with plenty of crops, animals, and machinery to work with. While the visuals aren’t on par with the PC or console versions, they still look terrific on my Samsung S22 Ultra. I haven’t run into any performance problems, even running with all the graphics options turned all the way up.

Very boring gameplay without any chance to make some real choices in it. You must spend all your time every day with primitive routine farm and even that not let you to get some high end equipment.
