I have very mixed feelings, because on the one hand I feel high because the original Crysis Core took place before this, I have already become related to the characters and piss boiling water from Cloud, history and background, but if I hadn’t passed and didn’t know the series so closely, then I would have experienced much less sensations. I am definitely happy with something new in the Final Fantasy series, something amazing and unique came out, that's for sure, but this is clearly not a revolution in games, not the best game in the world, although it is very good for fans of the series. There is a feeling that a beautiful and tasty candy was stuffed into an old candy wrapper, which, it would seem, should not change the taste, but it does (in general, everything is fine, but I will describe in the minuses why something is wrong here).
In any case, the game is good, again, for which I want to say thanks to Square Enix and Applebot, who again created something interesting after NieR: Reincarnation 👾💙❤️
What shines with the light of life, reminding of eternity and love through the flowering and withering of life stories, like flowers?
— Undeniably compelling cutscenes that are breathtaking (some are taken straight from Crysis Core, I actually caught Zach's spirit again when I saw his legendary "Oh yeah" again)
— Each story has its own separate sticky initial animation (I would throw off everything, but there is a limit of 9 images)
— Beautiful loading screens;
— The maximum respect for the original was shown (I tried to pass it myself, however, the seventh part, but these cubes are already too much for me, although I passed the beginning, so I can compare one with the other – feel exactly the same), every backdrop and twist is fully consistent with the original, including the combat system and subtleties of the world
— You saw how high they went, making graphics level with the latest consoles, I get a thrill from it every time and want to take screenshots, they worked out the skill cinematics so cool and beautifully
— The combat system at first seems primitive, but after a while it fully reveals the strategic potential, it feels epic and complete
— A lot of material from the developers, they just filled up with gifts, for which I want to say thank you and hug;
— There are choices in the dialogues (I don’t know how much they affect at least something, but the very fact of choosing is already cool);
— The music is taken from all the games in the seventh part, causes nostalgia;
— Pleasant co-op, I don’t even want to skip, because you are important and you can revive an ally once as well (I resurrected the player myself, so nice, feel like part of a team, useful);
— Gacha is not greedy, five-star guns drop out quite often;
— There are tough fights here that require strategy if you go far enough;
— I didn’t think I’d ever say this, but auto combat, since it’s done well, does what you would do, also leaving you a special second so that you have time to change his plans, if anything (here auto combat is more likely needed together with a person, which I consider to be an improvement in the standard of living of the players, since you were saved time and given the opportunity to influence the battle when needed, like gambit system from Final Fantasy 12).
What absorbs energy from you, like a factory that you do not want to go to the next shift?
— Japanese voice acting (sorry, but I'm a fan of English, who sincerely does not understand how you can leave Japanese voice acting in the game, entering the global market);
— A fight in history looks ridiculous, like moments when two people are talking and then a battle appears out of nothing, which leads to a stupor, because it is most inappropriate (why didn’t you make a fight with someone part of an emotional battle with himself, at least so that you can attribute it to the character’s internal struggle, as if he is now overcoming himself, and not stupidly dialogue and suddenly a fight?);
— Even the voice acting itself is not enough in the game;
— A very clumsy system interface that should have died fifteen years ago, he was already born old by nature, like Benjamin from the world of interfaces (they shove it into every mobile game without changes, except for NieR: Reincarnation and the now deceased The First Soldier);
— Downloads are extremely long, I waited 28 minutes to download 5GB (despite the fact that it was possible to create the opportunity to play by preloading part of the chapter, as Life is Strange did, where it was possible to play the beginning while the game is loading in the background next);
— Max graphics still doesn't seem like the max possible to me;
— Too much monotonous grind that goes on for a hundred repetitions of the same thing.
What do we have?
An excellent game, not without flaws obvious to everyone except the company, which has huge potential and is a great example of how you can do something with love 🩵
Definitely worth playing.
Square Enix, please don't fuck up all the stupid updates with no content, only with skins for a couple of gigabytes, like you did with my beloved The First Soldier, pleeeeease 🐬
