TLDR:Evil Slasher is an idle game centered on acquiring gear and creature cards for character enhancement. It offers various abilities and unique enemy types. However, it lacks incentives for continuous play and cannot be sped up. The power-saving background mode can be tedious, especially for repetitive tasks. The game has wasted potential due to excessive grinding and limited progression, making it less appealing.
Score: 5/10
Did I enjoy it? There are some parts that make it worth looking at in terms of a collection system and some cool abilities. However, there are limited interactions in terms of what the player can do making it enjoyable maybe for the first hour if that.
Would I come back to it? No, I cant see a reason to come back to it after putting it down.
Personal Playtime: 2 hours
Evil Slasher is an idle game that emphasizes obtaining gear from defeated monsters and collecting creature cards to enhance your character. It offers a variety of abilities and unique enemy types.
However, there are several shortcomings that limit its appeal. One notable drawback is the lack of incentives to keep playing. The game doesn't allow you to speed up the clearing process; instead, it relies on a power-saving system that runs in the background. This can become frustrating, especially when certain levels require you to clear them 30 times for guaranteed drops, consuming a significant amount of time.
The game's major flaw is its untapped potential. While it has a cool aesthetic and a promising material collection system, the excessive grind and the perceived lack of progression discourage continued engagement."
