Fucking love this game, can piss me off sometimes though.
The visuals are wonderful.
(there's this option in the graphics settings called "Gorgeous" enable it, makes the game look like an AI generated image.)
I give some tips at the end of this review btw ;)
(highly recommend getting a Backbone controller, it's a phone accessory that makes your phone look like a Nintendo switch, has some issues but it makes aiming so much easier, and since the TTK (Time To Kill) is so fast its for sure worth it, and the touchscreen controls are pretty bad like most mobile shooters)
Anyways. there's a lot I love about this game. the visuals design of the guns really look good even with attachments. most mobile games (some console games too) when you start adding attachments the guns look like shit. but this game is different.
One thing I don't like about this game is how overly realistic it is. it prioritizes realism over fun. which if you played DayZ or Escape from TarKov (similar games to Arena Breakout) you could like the realistic mechanics and gun play. If you get damaged in the leg enough, you walk so slow. its a nuisance if you don't have the proper medication to treat it.
My favorite part about this game is the wide selection of guns. there's at least 10 for each class (pistols, shotguns Assault Rifles Semi automatic Rifles) maybe not snipers but you don't really need that many sniper classes.
The gunsmithing part of this game can actually make a difference in a gunfight. there's alot you can add or remove from a gun.
Getting a kill is satisfying and when they have alot of valuable loot on them makes you feel so good, and you can sell the loot you get or already have on the market, where other players can buy with their money, and you can use the money you get to buy more loot.
There's also a clan system, I love that you can join up to five clans, you can own 5 clans, not just one. if you want to for some reason I don't use the clan feature alot, but it's still a nice feature for those who do.
Anyway here's some tips:
1. Always aim for the head, I know it seems basic but it makes the difference between life and death, as I said 1 shot is an instant death, unless you have a helmet or bulletproof mask on.
2. Speaking of which Don't bring gas masks into the Dark Zone, I admit they look cool as fuck, but their only use is to weaken flash grenades and gas grenades which no one really brings even if they do they're easy to counter even without gas masks
3. following up from 2, you can either bring gas masks or bulletproof visors. Bring the bulletproof masks they're very useful especially since in this game as I said one headshot and it's an instant death, can't be revived. these visors can be bought or found and attached to your helmet, The Helmet only blocks damage from the back of your head and your forehead, the visors defend your face and chin.
4. if you find a scope in a chest in the Dark Zone, grab it. scopes from 1x - 14x sell like hotcakes and for alot of cash. or use it to attach it to your own weapons.
5. most content creators of this game and even the game says "There isn't a best gun every gun has a use for certain situations" while that's somewhat true, there are totally guns that are good for most situations, and some guns are just shit.
here's are some of my favorite guns:
The FAL you can change the fire rate for this gun, to Semi automatic or Fully automatic this also is the case for most rifles. it's a two shot to the chest with tier 1 bullets. and you can attach a 50 round drum magazine, very good. it usually goes on the market for 10k or more
The M4A1: standard M4 assault rifle but it's pretty good. you can attach a 60 round drum magazine to it. it's basically good it every way. it goes on the market for about 20k which is kind of alot, but if it's worth it is up to you.
Mosin-Nagant: it's a bolt action sniper rifle which it needs a scope to be useful. however it's good for camping extraction points, where the people have filled up their backpacks with good loot or they found something worth alot and want to evacuate early so they don't risk losing it. if your far away they probably won't see you, and you can snipe them, and take their shit, it's boring but if you're desperate for loot and want to make people angry and they can't do anything about it. they can't fight back, they can't call you racial slurs since there's no proximity chat, ( yet 👀)
(they have to sit in that small area for 15 seconds to successfully evacuate btw)
thanks for reading all of this. I highly recommend you try this game if you like games such as, DayZ, Escape from Tarkov or Rust.
just because I said it's good doesn't mean you'll like it but it's worth a try if it's available in your country.
have a good day.
