Finally, we have the opportunity to build a huge adventure world on the shoulders of our predecessors, the mobile version of "Ys 8" - "Ys: The Long Night of Dreams".
Like many players who love the "Ys" series, "Ys" is our enlightenment work of JRPG, and it is also a glorious epic.
"Ys 8" is a Falcom classic, and its world view and plot are very large and thick - the setting of the two protagonists intertwined in dreams, the image of the heroine who reverses fate, and the discussion of the order of natural evolution...
As the work progresses, we gradually realize that the challenges and pressures we face are huge.
How to make a mobile game that is closely based on the world view of the original work?
How can the console experience be smoothly ported to the mobile phone?
How to make players who have never been exposed to the "Ys" series like this work while respecting the original work?
To this end, there have been intense discussions and self-criticism internally at every stage of the design.
We want to present the world of "Sailian Island" to everyone in the most realistic way, not only with a grand world view and touching plot, but also with hearty battles and novel and exciting adventure experiences. In order to enable everyone to have a movie-level immersive experience in "Ys: The Long Night of Dreams", we tried to use virtual shooting, expression capture, motion capture, sound reverberation and other technologies, and invited professional imaging technology to provide shooting guidance, ranging from small to The action of drinking a coconut, the echo of entering a cave, and the footprints on the ground with different textures, we all strive to bring you a more real and vivid immersive experience.
When we saw the history and glory of the "Ys" series in the Falcom exhibition hall, everyone's enthusiasm at the TGS exhibition, and everyone's discussions and suggestions during the research and development process, we became even more determined in our original intention and pursuit.
