Assassin's Creed Mirage: What we know so far

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is the latest installment in the 16 year long running franchise. Unlike Odyssey and Valhalla, Mirage aims to deliver a tighter, more focused experience that is grounded in the realm of assassins. Mirage pays great homage to the series roots featuring a league of assassins called the Hidden Ones. You take the mantle of Basim, the key supporting assassin character from Valhalla, and how he turns into an assassin grandmaster.

In Assassin’s Creed® Mirage, you are Basim, a cunning street thief with nightmarish visions, seeking answers and justice. After an act of deadly retribution, Basim flees Baghdad and joins an ancient organization – The Hidden Ones. As he learns their mysterious rituals and powerful tenets, he will hone his unique abilities, discover his true nature, and come to understand a new Creed – one that will change his fate in ways he never could have imagined

Assassin's Creed Mirage is generating a renewed interest in the series due to its promise of returning to the series' classic roots. Unlike recent entries that emphasized open-world exploration and RPG elements, Mirage aims to provide a more linear and story-driven experience. For fans who have longed for the days of parkour, stealth, and close-quarter combat, this return to basics is a welcome back change.
