Fortunately, your plucky mecha won’t have to fight alone: developer Youthcat Studio has revealed new footage of combat gameplay that includes a bunch of the weapons and tactics that players can use to push the self-replicating robots back to the dark corners of space.
The new Dyson Sphere Program gameplay footage, which debuted at the Tokyo Games Show, offers some fresh details about the upcoming combat update. You’ll be able to select how much of a challenge you want to take on when you set up your game.
As a game starts, the Dark Fog won’t take much notice of you, but as you build your planets up and begin constructing a Dyson sphere, you’ll begin attracting its attention—and eventually, it’ll become hostile. To fight back, you’ll be able to build a wide range of ballistic and energy turrets, new types of drones, and equipment for your mecha.
