With excellent anime style graphics, tower of fantasy is a very hard game to enjoy on mobile optimally and on PC with a 1~2 year old model at most there are some occasional spikes at the maxed out graphic settings giving the impression that the game needs some serious optimization going forward. With music, relative to everything else, it is incredibly lacking but still pretty good!
The story is nice, flows seemlessly but your player character feels more like a stand-in rather than a participant in the plot. This type of story telling doesn't seem fit for a game like this. The simulacrum stories are a different matter in which you get to feel more involved than the main plot itself (at the time, I've completed the astrea plot in entirety). Overall, if you can look past feeling like that "helpful NPC at start" trope, the game's story is fine.
Gameplay is where tower of fantasy truly shines (at least up until where Gacha weapons are concerned!). The world is designed to be explored making use of various relics or weapons that make them obsolete (eg: limited weapon Rubilla removing the need to use jetpack takeoff) and rewarding granting you gacha coupons for finding and locating exploration points! During world exploration, you can encounter bosses which you are rewarded for in achievements and pod unlocks.
The real downside to gameplay comes from the over diversity of equipment intricacies that takes a significant amount of time to learn and the weapons which I have discovered continuously get power crept! Example: In v3.2, you get a volt weapon, Huang, an SSR weapon with high charge and shatter rating which renders all weapons from the standard banner useless for doing damage! A trend I discovered to be normal from browsing community discussions on other social platforms.
Barring that, on a personal note, I like how tower of fantasy let's you customize your own character in world unlike other gacha games and it's something they aren't sleeping on compared to Genshin impact which just let's you select a character and after that, once you unlock other characters, they are never relevant in normal gameplay again.
Overall, it's a pretty rewarding game to play especially if gameplay is what you seek.
