Alan Wake 2 Confirmed to Have “Significant” Free DLC Updates

Alan Wake is undoubtedly one of the most underrated horror games ever. I remember being obsessed with the game back when it came out in 2010, and why not? With its thrilling episodic format, brilliant story, and clear Stephen King references, it felt like a living horror novel that I couldn't stop playing until I reached the final page. I’d also never seen a game use light and darkness the way Alan Wake did.

Remedy has teamed up with Epic Games to provide players with a succinct 20-minute refresher of the original Alan Wake, ahead of the Alan Wake 2 release on October 27. Titled "Alan Wake: Flashback," this replayable recap has been creatively developed by Remedy, Spiral House and Zen Creative and can be accessed in Fortnite using the Island Code: 3426-5561-3374. Although Remedy launched Alan Wake Remastered back in 2021 for contemporary gaming platforms, the Fortnite recap offers a convenient refresher for those eager to be up-to-speed for Alan Wake 2, without replaying the original in its entirety. This collaboration between Epic Games and Remedy is a continuation of their established partnership. Epic Games initiated a publishing label in 2020 and notably worked as the publisher for both Alan Wake Remastered and the upcoming Alan Wake 2. This exciting news trails just a week after the announcement that Fortnite would be introducing Alan Wake-themed skins as part of their Halloween-themed Fortnitemares 2023 collection—an excellent treat for fans of the iconic thriller franchise.

"Alan Wake" is another master piece in horror genre. As per my perspective it didn't lack anything honestly. The spooky environment, the plot, the graphics, all the characters are damn amazing. I would love to see my favorite horror game getting it's sequel. As I noticed 2010-13 released games didn't get that hype they deserved. I hope the golden games of that time makes a strong comeback with a good sequel.
