Almost 30 years have passed since the first release of Need for Speed. Over the years and across several console generations, NFS has taken on many different characters and styles. The most recent game, Heat, pays homage to the early and mid-2000s, when the game was at its height. Heat wasn't as successful as games like Most Wanted, but it was still a step in the right direction. The Need for Speed franchise is looking to recapture the fame it once enjoyed with games like
