Why Sea Of Stars Stole the Spotlight as BEST Indie Game Of The Year

2023 By Far have been one of the best years in gaming history. This year alone we had some amazing releases and multiple contenders for game of the year from the massive sequel to Breath Of the Wild, Tear of the kingdom, Alan Wake 2 and super mario wonder and even the actual winner of the game awards Baldurs Gate 3. We even had other big releases like Resident Evil 4 remake and Final Fantasy 16 but this list i want to shine a spotlight on how great indie developers are and seeing these massive adventures built by smaller teams and some of them may be hidden gems to most of you. So proceeding with my first game on this list and by far my personal game of the year is Sea Of Stars….

The past few years gaming has been Cluttered with live service games and even battle pass as time went on players felt the gaming industry has gone stale. This time around in 2023 in my opinion this has been Overall One of the best years for gaming. Games like tears of the Kingdom, ff16, Hi-fi rush and now even Baldur's Gate 3 has shown the industry you don't need to always make a live service game. which leads me to to the topic Of This Review, Sea of Stars.

Summary: It tells the story of two Children of the Solstice who will combine the powers of the sun and moon to perform Eclipse Magic, the only force capable of fending off the monstrous creations of the evil alchemist known as The Fleshmancer. Verdict: Sea of Stars is another nomination for GOTY, along with Chained Echoes. The amount of time, effort, and work put into this game shows that people would rather have games without all the microtransactions, battle passes, etc. More reasons to support Indie game developers, breaking barriers, bringing games worth the purchase, and happy to help!
