Not your typical otome games because it isn't.
(Played it few weeks when first released in global)
I played or I mean tried a lot of otome games. I'll say from the start, I'm not a big fan of otome games even though I love hot anime guys. It's just the storyline no... More like the romance storyline cringes me, I don't hate the world build it's just how they fall in love with the main character and such but I'm not gonna talk about my experiences with otome games and this review can be not really helpful but like, listen first.
Why do I like this Disney Twisted Wonderland? First they are hot. Second the story such a hook. It's for real not your typical otome game because it focus on the "guy" stories. Their background or personality. They don't fall for you, it's like finding a hot guy friend and you learned about his life so now he's even more hot in your eyes 👀. *Ahem*
Third and probably last the gameplay is not bad. It's your classic turn based type but it really wants you to grind. I, for me it's frustrating. I don't hate grinding, I just hate too much grinding at early game. But grinding is normal at games and they got that aspect kinda right if you are playing games XD.
Cons that might make you consider if your are not used to it like me:
** Too much grinding, I grind so much but it felt like my effort isn't there, that's just my opinion.
** Too much screen grinding thing. I meant like when grinding mats I can't do it at the background while idk doing the story. Again probably just my problem but yeah I want to play but I found myself grinding more than playing the storyline. I only have few hours or minutes on me and it just wasted on grinding. Not good for people like me who only have one device and doesn't grind while doing work cause I'm lazy, I play games when I don't do anything XD
That's only my problem really. In gacha wise I think it's pretty normal one, it really depends on your effort and you do get your effort worth! So don't worry too much about it.
In conclusion, if you are into gacha for hot guys, storyline sucker and want a different experience in otome games. This is for you! If you don't mind the grinding your way that's fine too! I think it's an awesome game to play especially what I said of course, even if your not part of the categories I said, don't be afraid to try the game.
You don't know, this might become your new favorite game 😉.
** I want to link some pictures of when I was playing it but I have some issues, it will take long time to update **
In my own understanding, for me an otome game is a game targeted to women and also full of guys. I never thought otome game is a dating sim, cause otome is "girl" or "young maiden" so for me otome game is a girl game.
I just want to clarify, I know it's not an otome game but I believe everyone went to thinking it is at first glance. To catch people who haven't played the game, it's easy for them to think "oh an otome game without dating, that seems interesting" without knowing it really isn't a dating sim.
I just review or state my experience, I'm not a news article who give accurate information. I just hook people to play the game hopefully XD.

first of all, you have to work hard to finish the game and actually enjoy it, but it is f2p ig. there are LOTS of ads and I suggest you to always double the gems that you receive at the end of the episodes. anyway…It wasn’t too bad. It’s obviously not like the other “big otome games”. it’s like the old otome games. no gacha, no combat or different activities, just the story. it’s a classic with a nice art style and story. It’s vintage and it was quite enjoyable. THERE IS 🌶️🔥💥 and not mild, more like a big bucket of SUPER-DUPER, well described explicit scenes SPICY WINGS. Though I cringed most of the time, it was good af. It took me 18 hours to complete almost all the endings. I wasn’t able to finish the secret ending and a possible different ending in Merlin’s “route”/ending because of high school stuff and I got bored of staying in bed 18 hours non-stop rewatching & skipping all the episodes and then getting lots of ads, but I had already completed everything that I wanted. The endings were a bit underwhelming tbh

otome's i played and what i *personally* think about them
First on the list is Obey me 👍 Pros: the storyline, the characters, the gameplay 👎 Cons: the game is a little slow most of the time 🕹️ Controls:  really good and worth the wait, but when you open the app you are gonna get blasted by 5-6 pop-ups listing the offers and events they have going on right now 📖 Storyline: very simple and lovely, you are gonna be in love hate relationship with all the brothers(my favourite is beel)

Amazing game. I usually don't like otome game cause it's predictable boring the same thing over and over. This one is pretty good. I love collecting cards. The asethic is what caught me. Well mihoyo/hoyoverse have always done an amazing job in graphics and bgm. It just feels premium. And yes compared many otome game which treats you like dirt this actually let you play and that to f2p friendly. 💯 recommended.
