Update 1.33 brought 5 new changes to REC.O.R.D:
• Enhanced Optimization
• Overhauled Controls Mechanics
• A Comprehensive Ranking and Rating System
• Added Clan Features
• An Achievement System to track and reward Player Milestones
While these changes are all great features, it still does not address key issues with the gameplay.
🎮 Gameplay: (Score 6.0)
• No Control Customization (-0.5)
• No Dynamic Virtual Joystick (-0.5)
• No Gyroscope (-0.5)
• Only One Map (-0.5)
• The One Map is too small (-0.5)
• Small Map and poor spawns lead to Spawn Camping (-1.5)
These 6 issues are really hurting the overall gameplay experience. This game has too much potential for it to fail and I don't want to see it fail because I happen to really love the concept of it. There is no reason to not have a Customizable HUD in a Mobile Game. No Customizable HUD/Controls and the lack of a Dynamic Joystick make this game feel really clunky. Some Gyroscope Controls and a Dynamic Joystick would help the game in this area, even without Customizable Controls. The game also needs more maps: but also, bigger maps. The Spawn System is really bad on the one and only small map which leads to Spawn Camping.
Outside of those issues, the game is still pretty good. There's some weapon customization now as well, in the form of skins. No weapon attachments as of now.
🎬 Presentation: (Score 9.5)
The game's graphics is serviceable for a Mobile Game, but it could be better. You can manually fix the Graphics on lower end devices by going into the Developer Options on your device (Android) and changing the Minimum Width under Drawing to about 700 dp or 800 dp before starting the game up. That would make the Graphics really sharp.
However, it should not be on the player to make the game look sharper by messing with the Developer Options. (-0.5)
📖 Story: (Score N/A)
There is no story, and this is only a demo. I assume some sort of "story" will come at a later date, but only time will tell.
