The Day Before - Many PROMISES, NONE Fulfilled...

I'd say that The Day Before was a disaster we all knew was coming. The game had so many issues before it even launched, it was amazing that the game even existed. The fact that the trailers promised so much that the actual game never had is a big red flag. The devs claim that they worked on this game for 5 years, but the game feels like a very early release of a bare bones game that if it wasn't advertised as an open world mmorpg and an actual extraction game that it turned out to be, it could have been an okay game... I suppose. But that's if you really strip down all the things that aren't good about the game at the moment. Will this game survive? I'm not sure. The game is sitting at overwhelmingly negative reviews on steam right now. This is the first game that I feel deserves a low score, I give this game a 4/10, and that's being somewhat generous because underneath it all, there is the beginnings of a below average extraction game, that given time, could be an average game. But for now, this game is a giant disaster.

The Day Before was marketed as an open-world MMO with survival elements, but the reality is far from it. The game leans more towards being an online extraction shooter with limited features. Prior to launch, This was one of the most wishlisted games on Steam, but I guess it isn't no more, now that the can of worms has been opened and the game is now being accused of false advertising practices; compounded by its poor, incomplete, and buggy state at the moment.
