🎮 Game: Resident Evil 4 [Mobile]
🍭 Platform: iPhone 15 Pro | iPhone 15 Pro Max
✨ Genre: Zombies | Horror | Survival Horror | Third Person Shooter | Story Rich |
🧟With the release of the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, you can now play AAA games like Resident Evil 4 on those devices. I tried out Resident Evil 4 on the iPhone 15 Pro Max, and while it was an impressive feat to have a game like this on a device like an iPhone... The phone did overheat while playing, so I had to put my phone cooler on the back, and the emulated controller UI buttons on the screen were weird to use and obscured the image of the game.
🧟AAA Games like Resident Evil 4 are now playable on iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max
🧟Visual Fidelity is pretty good, though I did see some areas that looked lower in quality
🧟UI Emulated controller on top of the screen is ugly and obstructs your view of the game
🧟If you aren't touching the screen when watching cinematics, your phone will go to standby
🧟Shooting felt bad and awkward with screen button controls
🧟right joystick felt sluggish
🧟Game is still creepy even on a small phone
🧟Phone will overheat, advise using a cooler if you have one
🧟Recommend a physical Bluetooth controller if it is compatible with the game
💖Overall I'd say that Resident Evil 4 on mobile is an impressive feat, and I think if you can play it with a Bluetooth controller, you will have a better experience. I don't like the UI emulated controller button scheme that's plastered on the screen. It's ugly and obscures the gameplay a lot. The controls will disappear after the screen not being touched so you can enjoy the cinematics without a UI button layout all over the place. However if you don't touch the screen regularly, the iPhone will end up going into standby and then to the lock screen. So the phone doesn't consider this game as an actual game... Since it keeps locking the screen. You will have to turn off that feature on your phone if you want to play this game. Regardless of those annoying features, the game is good. If you can get around it with a Bluetooth controller, it will be much better. I gave this version of the game a 7/10 because as good as the game is, and how much fun I know it can be. The control scheme that the game provides will hinder your enjoyment of the game, and will cause plenty of aggravation. Get a Bluetooth controller for this to save a lot of hassle.

Resident Evil 4 on iPhone is the worst way to play one of the best games of all time
Resident Evil 4 is a game I’d recommend to absolutely anyone. It’s a masterpiece of the survival horror genre, with smooth, satisfying combat and some fantastically spooky set pieces. The original was already a stone-cold classic, but the 2023 remake refined its graphics and gameplay mechanics, making the game feel better than ever. It’s something that everyone should play at least once, but if you have literally any other options, you probably shouldn’t play it on mobile.

The mobile version is finally out... how is it? | Impressions - Resident Evil Village
The eighth main installment in the iconic Resident Evil series is now available to play on iPhone 15 Pro and supported iPad models with an M1 chipset or better. The game is available as a free demo, with in-app purchases allowing players to unlock the full game, and its DLCs. Currently at a discounted price of $15.99 for the base game. I played the game on an iPad Pro M1 model, which is probably in the middle tier hardware with regards to all the compatible devices. To get a grasp of the full mobile experience, I decide to alternate playing this with the touchscreen controls along with a proper gamepad connected via bluetooth.
