๐ Pros: visually nice, very nice soundtrack, fun game play, very FTP friendly
๐ Cons: There were moments using characters where the ability felt less like a tutorial on how to use the basic attack pattern, and more like trying to play a Wikipedia page like a rhythm game; only a select few characters, but this is just me being nitpicky. Another downside for me was the grinding for materials to level up characters for instance, there is NO auto battle of stage skip anywhere to be found, so to get any mats of any variety you had to go and grind that stage HARD, not game breaking, but extremely tedious, more then I would like to play.
๐ฎ Gameplay: Feels very similar to Punishing Gray Raven, which is do really like. There's a lot of variety to the characters, but one thing that took some getting use to was that going into a fight you select a team of three, but you can only use the main-selection on the trio, the leader; you cannot switch between them on the fly, no chaining together burst of damage which was a bit alien to me at first but wasn't as large of a thing as I suspected it would be.
๐ Storyline: I can't speak about this even though I got to like chapter 11 in the main story, I haven't "read it" as deeply as PGR, I don't understand it enough to give it a fair rating.
๐น๏ธ Controls: As I mentioned earlier it's got a flow similar to PGR, but there are characters where it feels like a mix between Genshin with all attack options on screen at all times vs PGR with it's unique signal orb approach. There are characters that for me personally we're easier to to control then others, but generally a lot of fun to try using them in different combos with each other.
Side note: I'll also be doing a PGR review as from the mentions in this review I have indeed played it quite in depth and extensively, so it would be just if I did.
If you made it all the way to chapter 11, I definitely recommend going through chapter 12 (Dreams, Undreamed). The story really ups it's quality in that chapter!
