Synthia: The Female Rambo. (my definitive overview)

📜 OVERVIEW:

Cybernetically-enhanced, Thermodynamically Badass, and in Need of Rampage.

Synthia is cybernetically-enhanced fury maker, and neurally conditioned transhuman that is ready to take down everything, and everyone that gets in her way. She's never shy to rain down fire from both ground, and air using a plethora of weaponry that puts every champions to shame. (at least, in my case.) She's the recent character that was added in October update in 2023.

🎮 Gameplay:

With her sheer amounts of firepower, heavy offensives, and large health pool, she can shred through stages with relative ease. Despite her high offensive, and defensive output, she is relatively slow to compensate.

Wielding a special machine on her back (called the "Exoframe"), she can use 1 out of 3 skills on her arsenal. It will cast the skill automatically until you tap the skill again to deactivate it, in exchange of 40% reduced movement speed, and prevents you from turning left or right.

With every second you use the skill, it will generate heat that'll boost your attack speed and movement speed by a significant amount when you meet its certain threshold. When it goes beyond the threshold, it will activate the "Overheat" state, where it halts the Exoframe skill, and must be turned off to cool. If not, Synthia will turn red-hot, and all of your Exoframe skills will cooldown in 20 or 30 seconds. (You can manually cool down the Exoframe by deactivating the skill by tapping and holding the activated skill.)

📈 Skill & Abilities:

1. Default Attack - Synthia uses her heavy machine to fire at her enemies at incredible range. When in Overheat, it can set the enemy on fire. (like the Fire Elf)

2. Evade - Synthia does a short hop forwards or backwards depending on the direction held. Notably, she can angle her forward dodge within a larger range than most characters, meaning she can dash almost vertically.

🦾 Exoframes:

1. Vindicator Autocannon - A heavy mingun that fires bullets at an incredible high rate of fire. But unlike the default attack, it can pierce most obstacles. It generates heat by one per 0.2 seconds. The Autocannon (and like most of the skills to every heroes) has 3 sub-skills:

a. Large Bore - It increases the bullet's damage and knockback.

b. Reaping Strafe - Creates a large deviation to every shot, and increases the rate of fire.

c. Pinpoint Penetration - The bullets now penetrates enemies, but in exchange of decreased damage by 12.5% after each enemy pierced.

2. Jericho Missiles - Delivers a payload of missiles that flies towards the enemies (horizontally) and explodes in an area. Each rocket builds up heat by 10 from each missile fired. It has 3 sub-skills.

a. Full-burst Mode - It increases the missile's rate of fire, and it now only builds up heat by 6, but now decreases its overall damage output.

b. Missile Bomblets - After the missile explodes, it shoots out 3 clusters of bomblets at a random direction that deals 8 damage in a short area.

c. Tracker Mode - It can now lock on to enemies, no matter how far Synthia is to the enemy. It can now travel vertically.

3. Laevateinn Boltcaster - Shoots out a huge metal bolt to a targeted enemy, dealing 10 damage, and explodes to nearby enemies, dealing a whopping 50 damage. Unlike most of her Exoframe weapons, (which generates heat, and continuously fire) it instantly cools your "Heat" meter by up to 30, giving you a chance to not go to an "Overheat" stage. You already know by now, that it has 3 sub-skills.

a. Hellfire Bolt - When the bolt explodes, it releases a huge ball of flame, engulfing the surrounding enemies near it. Dealing 4 damage per 10 ticks for 2 seconds.

b. Stasis Bolt - When the bolt explodes, it creates a dimensional field for 7 seconds. Slowing down the enemy's movement and attack speed by 50% when close.

c. Inplosion Bolt - When the bolt explodes, it creates a gravitational pull that pulls enemies towards the location of the explosion for 2 seconds. Afterwards, a second, 30 damage explosion activates. Severely damaging the enemies inside the radius.

🧠 Strategy & Tactics:

1. Despite Synthia's low movement speed (coupled that with her activated Exoframes, which severely affects her overall speed), you can actually use the evade button while your Exoframe's skill is in effect, making you an agile annihilator.

2. In addition to number 1, if you have an item that makes you move while attacking, you just made yourself a moving sentry gun. Hold down that fire weapon while your Exoframe's hot, move your thumbstick on any directions, and SHRED AWAY!

3. USE YOUR BOLTCASTER AT THE RIGHT MOMENT! Use it when you're almost at the "Overheat" state, or use it on crowded enemies to deliver maximum devastation.

4. When you clear a room, in "Heat", and your Boltcaster's still in cooldown, don't be afraid to let it all out with just a regular attack in the next room. Trust me, you'll thank me later.

5. When you don't want to use the missile just because it builds up Heat more? Just use the "Channeling Monkey" item. It has the same effect as the missile, right?

🎉 CONCLUSION:

I actually had fun using this character so much, that she's now my main champion in every one of my runs. (Ginzo? Never heard of him. Ruthven? GET OUTTA HERE!) This is, by far, one of the best characters that I've used out of all the champions I played, hell, even the best characters that ChillyRoom has ever made.

So, rev up those guns, light the fires, and GET SOME!
