Day 11: Doodle Magic: Wizard vs Slime
Platform: Android
This is an auto battle where you get to choose magic spells and additional random upgrades for them at the start of every "wave" during each stage. I use the term wave loosely, as there isn't exactly a break between the release of more mobs, more so just a number counting the progress ticks up. The wall you cast from the safety of has a set amount of HP and you have to kill the mobs before they get to it and destroy it.
There is basically no guidance in this game, and there are gear and items that you just have to figure out on your own. There are also of course IAPs for currencies, and also the option to watch ads for certain things.
I was surprised yet not that I started having trouble at stage 3 but got back on my feet and cleared, but got totally wrecked on stage 4.
I'm personally not really a fan of auto types, since sometimes it doesn't target what it needs to as priority, and that can make or break a stage sometimes. Another thing I don't like is how whenever other people who are playing unlock items of certain rarities, it comes up in a scroll bar across the top of the screen. I find this to be completely pointless, annoying, and a bit detracting from what's going on, and there's no way to turn it off. They also still have their Christmas theme on even though we are almost two weeks into the new year, and that's kind of annoying to me.
I will say tho that I like the aesthetic. It's all doodle-style and I'm a bit fan of that.
I can't really see myself playing this much, as I prefer games that are more focused on the gameplay than announcing what random players are doing (and you can't play this offline so you're stuck with it), but if all the distractions don't affect you, then you may enjoy it.

Day 17: Stone Story Platform: Android Stone Story is a unique white-on-black ASCII auto side-scrolling RPG that has no ads (?), and the only in-app purchase is a one-time buy for premium content and to support the developers. It also says the purchase gets rid of ads, but I didn't see a single one the whole time I played anyway. Progression through areas is done for you, but you can pause to change out your gear at any time. You start out by gathering materials to craft a few things, and a workbench which allows you to upgrade your gear. You can even "upgrade" the areas to get them to drop better loot (but the enemies get harder) by redoing them. Being defeated by enemies doesn't seem to do anything but take you out of the level, and you don't lose anything or become penalized in anyway.

Day 8: Meteorfall: Krumit's Tale Platform: Android This is a rather quirky and unique roguelike deck builder type. At the beginning of a round, it lays out a set amount of cards (which they refer to as tiles) from your deck and you choose cards from those cards to exchange for gold in order to purchase the items from the same set that was just laid out for you to help you in the upcoming battle. It sounds confusing but it makes more sense when you see it, I promise. Once you've exchanged things and geared up, the round starts and you choose which items to use, and can use multiple at one time. For example you can use armour to defend and a weapon to attack, or you can use two weapons if the weapon allows it, etc.

A slime game that has many varieties of classes and cutesy designs.
A slime game that is not boring, even though it has the word auto your opponents will be RNG and based on your deck. Graphics are cutesy with a unique design base on their class you will see some mythological names and their armor is great. UI is a bit clunky but the rewards are great. Unlocked icons will indicate when they will be unlocked and gameplay is easy to understand. Worth playing and you can leave it when you open it or you can see the gems piling up on your screen.
