Suicide Squad will shed light on the cryptic ending of Batman Arkham Knight.

Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League is part of the Batman Arkham series story cycle: although we will play the famous DC Comics rogue group, the story will also allow us to find out what happened after Bruce Wayne's last adventure.

Especially, we will finally find out what really happened in the real ending of Batman Arkham Knight, which is unlockable only after completing the adventure 100%.

Indeed, fans will remember that that ending was decidedly cryptic, showing us what appeared to be a very different version of the Batman appreciated in the trilogy.

In an interview with ComicBook, production manager Jack Hackett confirmed that Suicide Squad will reprise that very controversial ending, explaining once and for all what we saw during the Batman Arkham Knight finale:

Yes, you will find out. There are several ways in which we will explain what happened in the five years between Batman Arkham Knight and Kill the Justice League.

There is a big scene that appears fairly early in the story, but which I don't want to reveal, that explains in a fun way the main moments of what happened: how the Justice League came together, what happened to Bruce, to Batman, and other details here and there. Especially for the biggest fans of DC lore and the Arkham-verse."

Hackett explains that during your games you will also be able to discover additional information about the story, not only with secrets to be uncovered but also with surprise appearances by characters that fans might recognize.

Rocksteady is therefore working to make sure that Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League is in all respects a sequel to Batman Arkham Knight: so it will be interesting to find out a few more details about that ending, answering the doubts that fans have had for so many years.

A sequel idea that would also be reflected by the same style of gameplay that, according to the authors, tried to encapsulate all the most important aspects of the trilogy.

Suicide Squad will at the same time also be a tribute to Kevin Conroy, the historic voice of Batman who sadly left us on November 11, 2022.

And if you were hoping for a new Batman Arkham chapter, it would probably be best to stop thinking about it, at least for the time being.
