Tomb Raider I - III Remastered: Nostalgia With GREAT REMASTERED VISUALS, But FRUSTRATING Controls!

I'd say that I had a mixed experience with Tomb Raider I-III Remastered. I see a lot of people enjoying the game and experiencing their youth once more, but for me, I just couldn't get used to the controls, even with the modernization of the controls as well. This is mainly due to the fact that the camera angles were terrible when in a tight corner area and sometimes the jump button would be unresponsive no matter how many times I pressed it when trying to jump a ledge. I tried this with both my controller and on mouse and keyboard and experienced the same thing. I don't know what I'm doing wrong with the jump but it just doesn't want to work for me correctly when it comes to jumping ledges. And the swimming wasn't a nice experience either causing me to drown on several occasions. Maybe I'm not cut out for the old gaming experience anymore. I did enjoy the visuals and the fact you could swap between the original graphics and the remastered. But I just couldn't enjoy the overall experience. So for me, I will give this a 6/10 overall score. It's just not for me.

SHOULD I PLAY TOMB RAIDER I-III REMASTERED? You should absolutely pick this up if you’re a fan of action-adventure titles like Uncharted, feel nostalgia toward the original Tomb Raider games, or are a newcomer looking to find out how Lara Croft became such an icon. Playing Tomb Raider I-III Remastered is like stepping into a time machine. For me, it’s impossible to separate playing the game now from my memories of when it was released in 1996. Running around and busting a cap into a pack of wolves may be much less cool as an adult than it used to be, but I can’t help but smile at the series’ fresh coat of paint.
