Note : This is NOT a "waifu" collector gacha RPG. Most of the SSRs in this game are male, so if you are someone who seek for "waifu" collector RPGs, then this game is probably not for you. Even in the selective summon for beginners, all the SSRs included in it are men (except for one loli female). So you have been informed.
For those that do not know, this is simply the remastered version of Myth of the World with slightly better visuals and a different name now, which was developed by Tencent for China region back in 2018. Their original game failed to live up to users' expectations and incurred a big loss. This is just another attempt on this game by different developers for another region (Hong Kong) this time.
👍 Pros: As for the game itself, the story is good. The cutscenes for it are played like cinema rather than just dialogue boxes. This is something which is very rare to find in RPGs these days. Solo Leveling Arise has this as well. The music isn't bad either. The artstyle visual is the strongest element of this game, which looks stunning even to this day and age. The character designs are decent too. I like the fact that the game tried to do something different rather than repeating the same strategy which other companies do by making lots of female characters with fan service to attract male gamers. Flowers in the Mirror is not about "waifu" or fan service, this game has balanced well for both genders (mostly for male characters though). The game is neither very F2P nor P2W. You can say it's average in this regard, since the game gives tons of free gacha resources from story mode and new player privileges.
👎 Cons: If you have played countless Turn Based RPGs before like me, then this game offers nothing unique to the actual gameplay. There is no skill CG/animation which was a downer for me personally. The combat is very basic with very less variations of buffs & debuffs present in the game. In other words, the gameplay can get monotonous within a few days of playing. However, if you are someone who is new to Turn Based RPGs or have not played many from this genre before, you might find some enjoyment in this game. Another thing which infuriated me was that they included very few SSRs in the selective summon gacha for new players, most of which are bad ones. They give 2 more selective SSR boxes from 7 day login and those too contain the same set of bad SSR heroes. I honestly hate it when companies do this kind of injustice to users. In contrast, another game came out recently named as Starseed Asnia Trigger by Com2us which is F2P and has shown much less biasedness towards new users including every SSR (except L/D element) in the selective summon gacha.
Personally I would not recommend anyone to try this game, but if you don't care anything I mentioned up until now, feel free to try it out for yourself ~ 🍷

I'm a girl, things like that don't matter to me in the least. That was a hint for male gamers who constantly seek for such materials in gacha RPGs. If you don't know how to read, don't make a fool out of yourself next time ~
