WAR THUNDER MOBILE 2023-2025 REVIEW (5K BATTLES OF EXPERIENCE)

2024- First of all, I can tell you I have over 500 hours of gameplay so yeah, I'm at tank IX (the last rank you can reach) unlike most of the people who review this game I have a decent playtime and also a good device that's not super expensive or something like that.
2025- holy cow I’ve been playing this game for 2 years now…
THE GAMEPLAY/MECHANICS 6/10
In my opinion WTM (war thunder mobile) has a big lack of control settings and other settings in general too, this game is supposed to be complicated because of the many actions you can accomplish with tanks/ships and airplanes but for now all the controls are very minimal and so basic.
(Still valid in the big 2025 tho the situation got better via updates)
GRAPHICS 8/10
also the graphics settings aren't very nice, at the moment there are just 3 things you can change which are quality, resolution and FPS, still, the game looks good but after more than a year of the public release we need some better optimizations.

CONTENT 8.5/10
The game offers you to use many different vehicles but the sad part is that you have to use platoons instead of singular tanks (platoons are formed by 4 tanks that can't be changed which means each platoon is different)
The platoon thing will be discarded later this year so no more specific pre selected formations of tanks, the lack of common platoons ( rank 5 and below is pretty much noticeable since for over a year all we got were event tanks and new commons were only top tiers) (2025)
GRIND (PROGRESSION) 6/10
Honestly I didn't expect the progression system to be this "Arcade like" you can basically choose to progress with one nation and then research for any platoon even if It's not in the country that you're playing.

OVERALL 7.25/10
The game is worth trying, it's surely more fun to grind than in games like tank company or world of tanks blitz. Sure, if you don't like the realism this game is not for you, what I mean by that is that your tank doesn't have a health bar and you can be destroyed with only 1 hit.

I think the grind is WTM's best part, the free to play grind is pretty easy, you don't need to spend a single dime (take it from me, playing since the start, only spent money after having reached max rank), it's a pretty pleasant experience and it's best selling point. As for controls, they've improved a lot ever since your review 👍

did they added hardcore mode like the PC version ( no aim assist shell drop and can't be spotted unless someone aim at you, not side cameras ) ?

not yet my brother, gaijn (this game's company) is planning on bringing airplane mode first and then eventually realistic battles... some people Say that game mode you want will be introduced AFTER this summer, so don't get too hyped.
