Feeling envious when others show off their 10-pull luck, making it harder for me to defeat them. I have to secretly top up, then pretend it was easy, saying: "Just a casual 10-pull, didn't expect much."
Before being lured into playing Genshin Impact by friends and relatives, my friend spent $1,300 to get xiao. I teased her for spending so much on a virtual character, but a week later, she showed me a screenshot of her getting the character she wanted. Feeling envious, I also splurged on the game, but looking back, it was too impulsive.
I’v played Genshin since launch and have never had the “need” to pay anything to get a character or a weapon. The issue is not having friends or not having them i have always been a solo player, having restraint and control over yourself is the real problem, Genshin is the least competitive gacha game i’v ever played and and the easiest as well yet people still compete in it for no reason other than clout and attention, it’s a personal issue. Paying $1,300 for a character who in a few months will return or be replaced by another seems redundant and unnecessary, then again some people are weak to these FOMO mechanics and always fall for them and never learn. I for example set a goal to only play the Geo element so i only pulled when Geo units showed up, i now have most 4* maxed put and i have Zongli, Albedo at 3-4 constellations…. I just waited for reruns (no one is forcing you or chasing you, be patient or be fooled). The game isn’t at fault 99% of the time… we are.

Never play PvP in gacha games. Stick with story mode like we do, or just uninstall it.

I find this kind of games really disgusting. Games that abusively try to squeeze as much money as possible out of people
