Long time ago I actually already wrote a review on this game, but I wanted to write a more thorough review.
The lore in this game is very good, each region of Teyvat, the game's world, having an unique story to tell. You start off at Mondstadt, a beautiful region with lots of forests to explore.
The characters are diverse, the animations are done beautifully and satisfyingly. Their gameplay ranges from close range combat such as sword, claymore, and polearm to long range combat such as catalyst and bow. All of them have different advantages and disadvantages, but it's up to you what weapon you want to use(unless the character is not using the same weapon type you want, of course).
You get characters in gacha by using Acquaint or Intertwined fates, also known as "wishes". Genshin Impact uses a 50/50 system for their event banners: You have a 50% chance to get an event character, or 50% chance to get a standard character. There are 3 banners for you to choose from: An event banner, where you can get certain characters that aren't available in the standard banner. Standard banner is a banner with characters that are available at all time. And at last, the weapon banner: You can wish here to get event weapons.
Genshin Impact provides very beautiful sound effects, along with the music. Each region of Genshin has it's unique, distinct music to compliment what's happening currently.
I wanna note that the rewards in this game are not quite good. For the 3rd anniversary they gave the players 1,600 primogems(the currency for wishing), which is equal to only 10 pulls. Considering that to get a 5 star character you need to pull 70-90 times, 10 pulls are really nothing. Compared to Honkai: Starrail, their rewards are very small, especially since this was for a 3rd anniversary. In Honkai: Starrail, they give out 10 pulls every update. This is honestly a pretty big issue in Genshin Impact. However, there are lots of ways to get primogems.
Overall, there is a lot of content for the new players to explore: Characters, story and the map. There is some parts of the game I wish they could improve, but it doesn't really affect the experience.
Inazuma is my most hated region in terms of environmental hazards and quests.
