Subway Surfers is an infinite running game. This is a far more dynamic and fast-paced game that tests reflexes and awareness than the tediousness that some mobile strategy games can be while you wait for the next batch of resources to be finished.
The idea is rather straightforward. As a graffiti "artist," you're escaping from a security guard along with his dog. While navigating around obstacles and gathering coins, you can jump over or avoid them. You may swipe across the screen to switch between the three lanes you can run in. There will be barriers on some routes and coins on others. Additionally, you can run along the roofs of trains by scaling their ramps.
Certain ramps can be ducked under with a swipe down and jumped over with a swipe up. The guard has an opportunity to catch up when you hit a smaller obstacle. The game is over and you have to restart if you collide with a train.
After some time, the game picks up speed, making your character run faster and causing new obstacles to appear more quickly. Along with the increasing difficulty of the obstacles come the moving trains, which require a quicker reaction time to avoid. The speed at which you swipe is essentially what determines how well you do in the game.
You can unlock extra content, such as cosmetics or gameplay enhancements, by using the coins you earn throughout each of your runs.
