Games worth discovering

I played the game out of curiosity last year and ended up getting really invested in Valkyrie. Here's my two cents on this game.
🎨 Graphics: The models and clothing are impressively detailed, and so are the stages for the MVs. Speaking of the MVs, the ones for the older songs are quite basic, but they get better.
🎵 Sound: What's an idol game without music? When I say there's something for everyone, I mean it. The songs are all very enjoyable to listen to, with diverse genres for each unit. If you like electronic music, for example, give 2Wink and Switch a try; or UNDEAD if you like rock and jazz. If you're like me, however, who's a fan of classical music and visual kei, you should absolutely check out Valkyrie.
📖 Storyline: If you think this game consists of normal idols going about their normal idol life, you're wrong. The story of this game is pretty chaotic with the occasional monologues, but it's also capable of being downright sad. Like the songs, there's always a character (or characters) for everyone to like... or relate to. You do need to have prior knowledge of the stories in Enstars! Basic to have a clearer picture of the plot and character development, but there are many translations and resources you can find on the internet. Overall, an emotional rollercoaster.
🎮 Gameplay: It's mainly a rhythm game. The beatmaps can get pretty difficult, but they're manageable. The "special" beatmaps are really something else, so give them a try if you're looking for a challenge. Asides from this, there's also a "work" feature similar to Enstars! Basic (which operates like a usual idol raising game) and an "office" feature where you get to customize a tiny living space for chibi-fied versions of your preferred idols to live in for the rest of their lives. Lastly, this is a gacha game, so of course grinding is an obligatory struggle. Just make sure to save a lot prior — I recommend MakoTools to look out for upcoming events — and hope you get lucky, or watch as HappyElements releases some exclusive scout impromptu and takes away your savings without giving you the character you want. If that's not stopping you from downloading this game and selling your soul, good luck.

I've got about a thousand logins on this game, so I do have a bias, but for a good reason and I'll try to be fair in my review.
Story
From my experience guiding new players through the game, it could take anywhere from a couple weeks to a month and a half to get caught up with the story where it is now. Admittedly, the presentation is a bit rough to start, given it was made in 3D action format for the average phones of 2015. Early on, it relied somewhat on out of game manga, visual novels, and animations to support the story, most of which are very good and high quality imo. What you get for your time is a fantastic, heartfelt experience, with amazing character development and maturity. I don't think anything else has me so happy to cry. Also, it has the best portrayal of a villain in anything I've seen or read. Every arc has one or two fantastic, true to drawn-anime-style animated shorts, and if you decide not to play the game I would *highly* recommend to go check them out even though they're spoilers cause if youre not gonna play, you'd never see them anyways. It takes a lot of time to go through at this point but I don't think you will regret a single hour of it by the time you're done.

Valkyrie Connect
This game may have run its course but now it's easier to get into than ever and you definitely should
The characters are top tier definitely my all time favorites in any game. I want to run up enough support for it to get it more content, A final fantasy or kingdom hearts style game would be just perfect for its story and characters.
When it comes to its story and characters it is another mythology based game but when you actually read the story you see there is a little more thought and heart put into it by the dev team.
