Going Out with Friends or Joining the Guild Siege?

I play an MMO game, and my guild is planning a big siege this Saturday night. They need as many members as possible to join. However, my friends have invited me to hang out on the same night.

It is weird to turn down my friends just for a game, but if I dont participate in the siege, I'll feel like I'm betraying my guildmates.
