[V1.0] Non-gacha Resonators and Weapons for Wuthering Waves

[V1.0] Non-gacha Resonators and Weapons for Wuthering Waves

116 View2024-06-18
Hi everyone. I've written this resource guide to help players find all the free Resonators and Weapons available in Wuthering Waves that can be found in the overworld, events or in the Mail without using the gacha system (with two exceptions). This guide is specifically targeted for No-Pull, No-Gacha, Conveneless, etc. players so much of my commentary will be written with them in mind, but normal players might still find it useful.

Resonators

Rover

In Version 1.0, Rover can adopt and switch between two attributes: Spectro at the start of the game and Havoc later in the Main Quest. As the Main Character, Rover has the advantage of getting free Sequences (power-ups gained via character copies) without gacha or purchasing Wavebands (character copies) off the store. They can be earned by playing through the Main Quest, or achieving progression milestones as listed above. Currently, Spectro Rover can reach up until Sequence 4 (S4) and Havoc Rover until Sequence 2 (S2), with more being available in later updates.

Free 4* Resonators

Yangyang, Chixia and Baizhi can all be obtained within an hour or two of playing through the Main Quest. Obtaining Sanhua will take at least 5 days of logging-in and Yuanwu will require clearing the first zone of Tower of Adversity so they cannot be obtained as early as the first three. Note that Baizhi can actually be skipped during the Convene Tutorial by waiting out the tutorial pop-up and exiting the menu. While Baizhi technically counts as a pull, she's always guaranteed as the first pull and is meant to be part of the starter character roster. No-Pull players can decide whether or not to skip her.
The starter characters (including Rover) covers all attributes and weapon types except for Broadblade, and possibly Rectifier if you skipped Baizhi. You won't miss out on anything by not having these two weapon types but it does mean that some free weapons won't be usable until you get Resonators who can actually use them.

Weapons

TapTap

Weapon Supply Chest (Winter Brume Series)

A selector that offers a free 5* weapon from the Winter Brume Series, which will be the strongest weapon No-Pull players will have access to. You will only get one copy for now so choose wisely as to which Resonator to give this to.
Most players would recommend either the Sword or Pistols as these weapon types provide Crit. Rate (a stat that is hard to come-by) while Broadblade, Rectifier and Gauntlet offer more ATK. The Sword has the added advantage of being interchangeable between Rover, Yangyang and Sanhua so you can swap it between them as needed.
It will take awhile to reach Union Level 45 in order to get the selector, which is somewhere in the ballpark of a month if you're playing daily but not refreshing waveplates or spending solvents.

Weapon Supply Chest (Crafting Series)

I know the in-game description says it is the Originite Series but the weapons it offers actually belong to the Crafting Series, which are 4* weapons you can craft yourself. You can craft unlimited copies as long as you have sufficient materials for it.
Crafting the 4* weapons requires a lot of Indigoite and Scarletthorn ores (150 per weapon), and 2 standard weapon molds which has a random chance to drop from weekly challenge bosses. I recommend you make a habit of marking down any purple or red ore deposits you come across on your map and break them whenever you see them, and do your weekly challenges regularly. You will need a lot of materials if you plan to syntonize these weapons.

Dauntless Evernight and the Night Series Weapons

A 4* Broadblade and 3* Broadblade, Pistols and Sword respectively. These weapons can be readily obtained from gacha if you pull regularly so they're not something special you can't get elsewhere. However for No-Pull players, they will be the only copies you will get for now, so lock them as soon as you get them to prevent them from being accidentally becoming fodder material.
If you need more guidance on how to get these weapons, I recommend you consult video guides on Youtube for step-by-step instructions.

Guardian Series

A 3* weapon series that is cheap to craft and meant to be your baseline starter weapons that are better than the 1* Training or 2* Tyro Series. You will get a set of Sword, Pistols and Rectifier weapons during the early portions of the Main Quest so Yangyang, Chixia and Baizhi will have something to use as starter weapons.

Limited-Time Event Resonator / Weapon

TapTap
For any Resonators or Weapons that are not permanent and will go away after a period of time, they will be listed here instead. The current freebies will last until May 2025 so there's a lot of time for new players to jump into Wuthering Waves and claim them.

Free Standard 5* Resonator

As compensation for a rocky game launch, Kuro Games has given away a selector to all players that can be redeemed for a standard 5* Resonator of choice. It does utilise the gacha system but is a guaranteed pull in a similar vein to Baizhi, so whether or not No-Pull players want to use it is left to their own discretion.
Note that Calcharo is the only Broadblade Resonator that No-Pull players can use as Taoqi and Jiyan aren't obtainable without gacha. That said, his available free 4* and 3* weapon options are a pretty terrible fit for him.

Weapon Supply Chest (Rangers' Series)

A 4* weapon selector that is claimable from the mail. Not much to say here but it is another option for No-Pull players to consider when developing their limited roster.
