A game that quickly became a part of my daily life

Greetings to whoever is kind enough to spare their free time to read this post. The name’s Lilly and it’s nice to meet you. I never expected that a game like MLBB would quickly become a part of me that would be hard to live without.

The first time I tried this game out was in 2020 when my childhood friends told me to install the game. That’s when I made my first ever account. At that time I believe that Alice was meta because my friends told me to get her asap and just spam her. I have played less than 20 games with her and in that whole account overall. I immediately stopped playing the game after she got nerfed, and I lost complete interest in the game. Because I started to lose and I didn’t like it, nor did I find the game fun.

Fast forward to few years later specifically to March 2023 where the new hobby of mine begins..

It all started when my long-term online friends that I met in a Minecraft server and community were telling me how they started playing MLBB and found it fun, so they asked me to join them and play with them. It took them over 2 weeks to convince me to play with them because I told them about my experience with the game, and how I didn’t find it fun, but in the end I gave in and installed the game because I didn’t want to miss out on the fun, since they started to play the game daily and in the vc too.

That’s when my second account and my current main was created. I still have access to my first account, but I wanted to give the game fresh start and start from the beginning.

Since they were in epic-legend rank, they told me to rank up fast to be able to play with them, so I started to play a lot to be able to catch up to them, and I actually started to enjoy the game meantime. I started with heroes like miya, eudora, cyclops and nana or go for heroes that my friends said are “op” for example nana, whom I’d probably not begin with if my friend didn’t say so, or say that he thinks that I would like to play her, since shes “op” with her molina and stuff.

With time I eventually got to the hero(estes) that my friend said he really liked and is easy to play. I was still like in grandmaster at that time and I remember purchasing Estes because he was on sale that time for 8,4k battle points, I believe. I bought his because of all of the praises that my friends gave him.

That’s when my journey with my main began..

After that I played him a lot(didn’t spam him but he was in top 5 heroes I played, and played whenever I got the opportunity). I quickly managed to reach top in my region with him within few days and just before the season ended I managed to hit epic. If i haven’t mentioned I started with ml on March 14th and the season was ending on March 25th(S27). I bought Estes on March 18th.

As I continued to play MLBB and find fun in it+slowly got addicted, where of my friends stopped playing mid next season because they lost interest and found other games(occasionally played ml with me). I managed to hit top 5 Estes in my country constructively for 3 seasons and eventually hit top 1 in my country in the 3rd season(S30). Which was the achievement I was hoping for and was working hard for in that time.

These days I dont play him as much as I used to, but that doesn’t change the fact about him still being my main, and the only hero I have all skins of(because he deserves it). I still enjoy playing him, I just can’t seem to find the opportunity to play him.

I love how he’s basically all about the timing and how he’s able to heal so much and a lot of people at once(with his ulti). A very supportive hero and generous, and that’s what I liked most about him. I could be less focused with him than with other heroes, as long as I hit the timing right.

I also stopped playing him in rank actually I really rarely play him in rank after I hit top 1 in my country which is unfortunate, but I plan to hit global with him in the future.

As for my favourite role..

I genuinely love mages and always enjoyed playing them more than any other role. They are long distance and I prefer heroes with long ranged basic attacks than with short range. They are versatile and just overall amazing and fun. That’s why I consider mages my favourite role.

But I am most confident with supports because of experience and I have played them more than mages. Still mages are the always going to be no.1 for me, they are most fun.

As for my reasoning..

I’d like an access to advanced server because I am interested in updates of the game, since I enjoy the game and like to play it daily. I would feel honoured to be able to be between the firsts to try it out and be the tester. I’d love to help to improve the game more than anything and would love to help find the bugs and be aware of what’s going to happen to the game beforehand.
